Stopped in on a whim and had the BEST beef on weck of my life. I'm from the Buffalo, NY area - I know my beef on weck. Service was fantastic- Mike and Mary behind the bar were efficient and fun. Gigantic menu. Great patrons at the bar. We can't wait to come back. Very highly recommended. Do yourself a favor and stop in here.
The food was cold. Service was bare minimum and the order was wrong. Not worth the hype.
Ordered the French onion soup and the cheese that is supposed to be warm and melty on top was cold, hard and chewy. The soup itself was cold and tasteless. I have drank better tasting beef broth in the hospital before. My son ordered tater tots. Instead, he got fries. Not as big of a deal, but still disappointing. He needed water, didn’t get that until after he had finished his meal....read full review
I ordered a BOWL of clam chowder as the menu stated at $9, I was expecting a bowl, when it arrived it was cup size. I complained that I had ordered a bowl only to be told that was their bowl size, anywhere else they offer a cup size or a bowl of clam chowder at much cheaper prices.check Duffys for much lower prices.

The Tamiami Tavern offers an interesting and large menu with delicious food. While they may run out of certain items, the restaurant makes up for it with great service. The atmosphere varies, as some rooms are small and intimate, while others are larger, but overall, the restaurant is worth returning to. Guests have enjoyed their meals, including the BEST beef on weck, and will be back to try more items on the gigantic menu. The food is made from scratch and so good that customers often need a doggie bag. The service is fantastic, with efficient and fun staff, and drinks are replenished right on time. The busy atmosphere on a Friday evening creates a lively bar-like setting, though it may be a bit loud for conversation.
