During our recent visit to the Waffle House in Punta Gorda, we enjoyed a delightful breakfast. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, while my fiancé opted for two eggs, grits, and toast. Both dishes were served promptly and prepared to perfection, resulting in a very satisfying meal. The only suggestion is to put a little less butter on the grits.
The cleanliness of the restaurant was very good, however the bathrooms, while generally clean, could benefit from a more thorough cleaning in the future (floor tiles and tops of tiles on wall). Nonetheless, I felt comfortable using the facilities.
Our waitress, Christina, provided excellent service, contributing to the overall positive experience. For those seeking a reliable breakfast spot in Punta Gorda, this Waffle House is highly recommended.
Even with the $.50 per egg surcharge, the price was very reasonable. I do not mind paying the surcharge.
You can tell this restaurant is managed well.

My brother & I visited at about 2 pm. There were 2 patrons in restaurant when we arrived. Food was okay for the type of restaurant. The floor was dirty, table was sticky. The men's restroom was horribly dirty - I can't comment on women's room.

This cook needs to learn the health code or shouldn’t be a cook she did not change gloves after touching raw meat, she was touching up all on her dirty apron and was on her phone and proceeded to touch food after doing so it’s actually disgusting do better.
Every now & then we get a craving for The Waffle House. Great service. The food is good too!

Gonna miss parking the semi truck behind waffle House and getting breakfast. And being able to get a break. And get coffee when I get up. NO MORE TRUCK PARKING ALL FENCED OFF NOW.

Sat and waited for 15 mins. I hate to feel as if I’m being ignored based n the fact that I don’t look like everyone else. I sat calmly and waited even went outside and came back in. Just for the waitress to say I can actually help you now even though she should have ( the second waitress ). I’m like Ok well I’ll just go home then smh idky people have to be like this.

OUT-STAN-DING.
Whilst in Punta Gorda (PG as I presume some folks there refer to it), I had the pleasure of having culinary feasts at this Fine Establishment. The best prices for incredible food; each and every time. And not just the food was sublime....the serving staff was EXCELLENT. I fail to understand why places like this one, food wise and service wise, cannot be replicated everywhere. I just do not understand. I used to think that such service and nutrition delivery was Rocket Science, yet, after much study, I do not think that's the case. Perhaps it is more the case that some folks actually Care about their Job and their role within the greater sphere of the community. Delightful.
And, again, to be clear, I do not mean to disparage other eateries. I do not. For I have been Beyond Blessed to wine and dine at so many outstanding establishments from Coast to Coast. Including, yet not limited to:
* McDonald's
* Burger King (hmmmm....despite what they choose to sell as 'beverages'....Pepsi. Please. Give me Pepcid instead).
* Wendy's
* Taco Bell (Double WOW)
* 7-11 (wowzers!)
* Flanigans (only available in Sunny Florida -- sorry to the other States)
* Domino's
* Pizza Hut
* Subway
* Starbucks
Please realize that, daily, over 13MM get at least one meal from fast-food establishments. Most of them are poor and hard working; probably around 70-80% immigrants that toil everyday cleaning the streets, taking out the garbage, landscaping the streets, filling potholes, and doing ALL the 'dirty jobs' as Mike Rowe might insinuate.
These eateries are hence the LIFEBLOOD of our workforce and hence the LIFEBLOOD of this Country. And for what? 11$/hr.?
So, again, I do not like to delve into Political Issues, yet I am pressed to make the point that one of these 'Service Workers' makes, what, under 25K$/year. Correct? Is that right? 25K$/year? Meanwhile, if I am not mistaken from recent statistics, some newly arrived immigrants receive 50K$-75K$/year from Governmental Agencies, with no requested reciprocity, for doing whatever they do; including committing crimes and eating cats and dogs (and my Apologies for that Statement to my Haitian Sisters and Brothers. We ALL KNOW the Hard Work that you do. Day In and Day Out. Hmmmm.....some folks cannot take a joke; especially when they are busy 'Protecting Their Image' and being as "Defensive' as can be). And, again, my Apologies to anyone that may be Offended by that Remark for I KNOW, with CERTAINTY, that those people that I may have inadvertently referred to, are good, hardworking Americans, wanting nothing but the best for their Communities and this Country).
Anyway, I have diverged from my intended positive remarks about Waffle House. So let me get back on track.
I have been a customer of SO MANY Waffle Houses all along the SouthEast Corner of Florida to the border-line of Louisiana and Texas. EACH TIME SUBLIME. And, honestly, I have held back from posting a review for them, on any one of my other 400 email accounts, as I have not wanted to create a Frenzy and cause mile-long lines at this Culinary Masterpieces. (okay.....okay....okay....okay........I just exagerated a little. Not too much. Just a little. Some say I am overly expressive. Others, well, they say: not so much).
Stay well and stay fed. And hydrated.
AND DO NOT FORGET TO TIP 50%!
