Stopped here on the way home for lunch.i ordered the meatloaf with Mac n cheese and candied yams and cornbread. The cornbread was moist and sweet. My husband got the two piece wing & breast with collards and mashed potatoes & brown gravy and a dinner roll. My daughter had a cheeseburger and fries. All the food came out hot, and tasted good. The owner was present in the dining room, and checked on us several times. We would definitely eat here again.

I went in for breakfast on 5/16 at about 9:30 am with a friend. The place hasn't changed much since it was Rocky's. It was a simple one page menu for breakfast. My friend got the classic breakfast with bacon, eggs, grits & 2 pancakes. (Potatoes were not available today.) I got biscuits and gravy with 2 eggs. It wasn't served with a side and was the most expensive breakfast entree at $13.99. We each got coffee at $1.69.Coffee was fresh brewed. My Biscuit was good and it held up well with the creamy sausage gravy. I had ordered over easy eggs, but they came out scrambled. Food was hot, tasty and the portion was good.My friends eggs were overdone. But the bacon was crisp and the 2 pancakes good. I think the menu said it came with grits, but none were served. His meal was hot, good portions and tasty. The cups & plates were Styrofoam. The utensils were plastic. Salt & pepper were in the utensil packet. No cream or sugar were preset on tables or available buffet style. The front of house person was friendly. However I wouldn't go in expecting to get in and out quickly. If you like a slow and easy pace, this morning would have been fine for you. I'm curious how they will cope with the after church rush on Sunday. It very much appears to be family run and lacking an experienced F & B professional. The lunch/dinner menu was 1 page also, but it was confusing as some entrees are only available on Sunday. Other entrees are only available on Fridays, and some Thursdays through Sundays. I remember seeing liver & onions, fried chicken, turkey wings, oxtail and a burher on the lunch/dinner menu. The sides included collard greens, seasoned rice, black eyed peas, and more. There are kid menus for breakfast and lunch/ dinner. They are only open Thursday-Sunday. The posted hours said 8 am to 6 pm.

Server was polite and friendly. Highly recommend. I will be back this month for another culinary treat. Thanks y'all. P.S. It's worth the trip no matter where you live! Treat your taste buds!!

This place shut down because of Covid. It should have stayed closed. They cater to a certain clientele who get large portions. Our table was sticky, my portions were literally half that of the church member who were beside me. Bland, no seasoning. Tea was from a jug. Glass and plate were greasy. I wouldn't stop there if I had to again. Circle K has better food. Waitress acted like we were taking up a table . It won't be long. Already declining numbers after 2nd week. Bye bye to a very bad experience

My fiancé & I just ate a burger here and it was delicious! We had Mrs. Melanie make and serve our burger. She had impeccable customer service and clearly has a passion for southern cooking. Can't wait to try this place again real soon!

It should be illegal to serve what is essentially frozen great value brand fries and burger patties and call it real southern cooking. And that’s not where it ends. They chicken is anemic $17 should get you more than two pieces and low quality sides like pickles from Walmart. The service was questionable but very friendly. It was odd to hear the hostess tell the cook what the order was and how to make the order I kid you not 15 times they had to remind them. Cleanliness was poor, but above average for this area in general. I wish it was possible to give a zero star rating on Google Maps and I do not hand out unfavorable ratings often. I would consider deleting this review if they took down the very misleading sign “real southern cooking” as I cannot stress enough nothing here is fresh and nothing here is worth more than about five dollars. Chewy pickles and nothing cooked from scratch. You could make these frozen pre-prepared foods much better yourself at home. Now to keep in mind they do have special items like the oxtail. This is something that is OK and some people will even say good, but that is because they have never been many places or traveled much. Honestly, I feel bad for those people.

Randomly stopped on our way back home. I usually don’t write reviews, but the most recent ones just don’t seem accurate. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The food definitely was fresh. We had huge portions. Everything was SO good. We had spaghetti, pork chops, catfish, burger, chicken tenders, and banana pudding. I would recommend this place and would also come back next time we are in the area.
Awful. Food seems like it was leftovers. Smaller portions than what was described on the menu, waitress explained they changed the portions, just not the menu. Not very clean and manager/owners definitely not honest and have no idea how to run a restaurant.
