I am fairly new to town, moved here in October but have been loving trying all the local restaurants. Most are fairly decent, but at the same time very loud. So, it was so nice to find this restaurant off the beaten path that has it all! First, greeted by Host and for the first time actually greeted, he made eye contact the moment we walked in, smiled and welcomed us and gave us a selection of seating. It was warm and inviting very relaxing atmosphere. Service was practically instant! From the menus, waters and offered drinks while we looked at menu. I was very impressed, the entire staff was welcoming, polite and professional. Now onto the real reason we are here, the FOOD! First, I need to mention while we waited, they served us delicious warm bread, with sweet, seasoned butter and dipping oil. We didn't wait long which was a surprise for our food server to bring us our dishes. I didn't even taste it and knew it wasn't going to disappoint. I got the Chicken Marsala and My husband got the special which was the Chimichanga Texana Special. My husband let me have his first bite since I honestly couldn't decide between the two lol It was soooo Good! Yum! that should be offered on the main menu!! My Chicken Marsala was DELISH! It was served over Fettuccini and it exceeded my expectations! Was one of those meals you just keep eating because it's so good then you're stuffed. I still couldn't finish it the portion was so generous. Wish I hadn't stuffed myself after I saw the desserts! I guess we will need to add this to one of regular spots to try some. So, hats off to the Chef! We were very satisfied. And just like when we arrived the Host thanked us for coming, he was very gracious. So, from the moment we arrived until we left, we were very satisfied and will definitely be recommending them. AND making this one of our regular stops for Great food!

Mushroom appetizer was very good (fried). Both our Mussels main dish were cold our friends returned their shaved steak Sandwich it was over done and dry. Another person at our table loved their chicken fingers. I want to love this place but they can't win me over on just fried foods. At over $125.00 per couple the food needs to be perfect every time. One more thing we did love the bread basket and butter.

Going back 2 days later. Food and service was so GOOD. We want to try other dishes. Decided after going for a drive to go again. Excited! Love to try the Speak Easy but it opens at 7. Have to do it another weekend. Maybe tomorrow night

it would be hard to describe our experience with words and do justice to this place. Three of the five meals came out together on a timely basis, the other two meals came out 20 min. after the other three of us had finished our dinner, yes you read that correctly, after we had finished our meals. We had to ask the server to bring us more bread. I asked to speak with the manager after 30 minutes, he never showed. The waitress avoided our table, the wine had long ago been empty, my wife wanted a second drink and I wanted a bottle water refill. no waitress. Ten minutes later I decided to get coffee, still no waitress. Finally after 35 min she stopped by the table to say the two late meals were being comped. When she brought me the check I wrote a note to the manager to stop by the table and that the experience and the two meals served 45 min after our original food and his failure to stop by was a joke. Oh course no manager and the waitress disappeared. None of us spoke an ill word or made comments we just asked for the manager. summary, chef screwed up causing late food, waitress rather than try to stay on top of things just ignored the table completely and of course the manager was a no show. this may be a great restaurant and our guests recommend the place because prior visits were great but you cannot have a worse experience than this for an evening out with friends at a restaurant. Bad experience with the chef, the waitress and the no show manager, congrats you just hit the trifecta! I do want to say that as I stood up to leave the elderly gentleman who was the greeter stopped by to ask if I was able to speak to the manager, I smiled, thanked him for asking and said no, the manager didn’t give a damn. Lots of great restaurants in Florida, do yourself a favor and go to one of them and avoid this place.

Love the host, the service and the food. We live close by and when we have a date night, it's hard to beat this local establishment. The chef is always willing to accommodate our vegan friends if he possibly can and the prices are very good, too. The atmosphere is nice with the lower lighting and it isn't loud so you can actually talk in a normal voice unlike some of the other local restaurants. The key lime martini's are yummy, too!Parking: There is parking on both sides of the restaurant and a large parking lot in the rear.

Our first time here. We’d made a reservation but decided to eat at the bar since there were seats available. We were greeted by a very sweet gentleman at the host station. We met Matt the bartender. Just an all around great person, friendly, knowledgeable, fun and funny.I ordered a cosmo that was spot on.My husband really doesn’t drink so he had a coke.Chatted with Matt for a while then we ordered our meals.I had the chicken piccata with pasta and fresh veggies. My husband had the filet which was cooked to perfection. He was very happy?I had a delicious glass of Sauvignon Blanc that Matt recommended. We shared an amazing Crème Brûlée and I had an espresso martini. Fabulous!!!Highly recommend this place!! We will be back for sure!!Many thanks to the sweet gentleman at the host station. Loved him? I wish I had asked his name.

With all the talk lately I have heard about town about Cape Haze Tavern. We were looking forward to finally get there. It is an off the beaten path little gem, right in the Rotunda in Englewood. The host was super welcoming, we came in 1/2 hour before close, and they were fine! Service was great, food was great! I had the pork chop (huge) and Kim had the chicken Picatta. And they are dog friendly with outdoor seating!

Second visit this week! We were greeted at the entrance by Jack who was warm and welcoming. We were seated quickly and immediately were greeted by Lisa our fantastic server. Our meals were delicious and reasonably priced. Totally enjoyed everything.

I rented the Rabbit Hole for my husband’s 80th birthday on Saturday January 20th 2024.Let me start by saying this is the classiest and most beautiful venue in the area. We attended a comedy show there in November and couldn’t believe something this nice was so close to us. I just knew my husband’s party would have to be held there.Chef Matt was very helpful in the planning and food choices for my 30 guests. He said the cost would include a bartender and a server. I voiced concern about the bar because, at the event in November, the bar was not stocked, the bartender was continually going to the restaurant side to retrieve vermouth, cherries, and other items. People waited long periods of time to even order drinks. Matt assured me that would not happen.Well, after arriving at 6 the bartender was placing water glasses on the tables. My friend was at the bar, ordered first and received a drink at 6:25. My husband and I must have waited 20 minutes for 2 vodka sodas and 2 manhattans. And the bartender brought them over on a tray from the restaurant bar.Other guests waited 40 minutes for a drink. Every time I looked there was no one behind the bar. I went into the restaurant and asked for the manager. Dylan was behind the bar working. I said I need a bartender in the other bar for my party. He said someone called in sick. That’s unfortunate but was not my problem. He sent the bartender back who obviously didn’t have an open cash draw. He had to start tabs by writing on a pad. Meanwhile, the apps came out right on time but most people didn’t eat. They were still waiting to order a drink. Then, the bartender started serving Caesar salad to the tables. Where was the server that I was supposed to have?Entrees came out right on time. Hot and delicious. After dinner I started bussing tables and a few guests helped. There was no way the bartender was going to be able to clear before desert. As the night went on our daughter asked for 5 shots of fireball. Bartender went to restaurant bar to get shot glasses. He said “ for all your trouble, these are on the house. And keep the rest.” There was a little more in the bottle. So we said we’ll have more shots. Again he had to go over and get more shot glasses.Unfortunately at the end of the night he charged for the shots. So, exactly what I was worried about came to be. People waiting too long for drinks, a bar that wasn’t stocked, and a bartender missing in action.I am not criticizing the help you have. They were working very hard. And I would have had more understanding about a sick call if the exact thing hadn’t happened at the last event I attended. This is unacceptable. I have been to the busiest bars in the area and have never waited longer than a couple of minutes for my drink order.I did not get what I paid for. My anxiety level was thru the roof making it very hard to enjoy the evening.I very much hope the Rabbit Hole is successful. But if this is the way it’s run I think reviews and word if mouth might lead to its demise.I would appreciate talking about this with you further. After sending this, I was told the owner or manager would be in touch. I have heard nothing.Parking: Easy

Our kids bought us a gift card for Christmas. They were late buying it so it would not have arrived before Christmas. Beth, the assistant manager, who happened to live nearby, drove and hand delivered the gift card to us so we'd have it for Christmas. We knew with such a display of service this would be a great place to dine. We were not disappointed. We had a lovely time out. Meals were very good. Dessert after was delish.
