Food was too salty for me, someone who loves salt. With that said, I ordered the soup of the day, shrimp corn chowder, as did my husband (which was too sweet and a little spicy for me), so I sent it back and asked for the Clam Chowder, which was again too salty and had a lemon taste. I sent that back as well. When we received the check, the waiter informed us that the owner would not take the $8 for the soup off of our check. I have to say, they seemed a little short-staffed. Peter was our waiter and kept things rolling smoothly. A miracle worker unto himself. As stretched thin as he and the other waiter were, they were on top of everything and should be commended for it. Needless to say, we will not be returning to this establishment and made the waiter aware of such, who looked surprised. I usually only provide positive reviews; however, at times, I feel the need to share mixed/negative reviews…this, all over an $8 soup.

We waited 1 hour and food was never served while
others around us who arrived later than us were served and had eaten. Still we had no food. After asking 3 times about our order we were told it was coming, then the kitchen was behind because of a large party, and finally the kitchen lost the ticket. We left at that point! With out of town guests, we were looking forward to a great meal!

The food was good, and the drinks were good, I just needed that block of ice in my old fashion so I could sip it instead of drinking it cause the ice is melting too fast

We like the outside of the gator, but the staff sometimes forgets you're out there unless its busy. Food has always been good tho, no issues there.

First off, I love the Lazy Gator. Ambiance, food, drinks and most staff are great. However, the past 2 times I just so happened to see a worker named Shay. If it was just one experience I wouldn’t say anything because everyone has a bad day. However, after watching this on 2 visits. I’m pretty sure shes just a liability. She wasn’t waiting on us but both times she was around all the time. She was visibly intoxicated both times. I thought maybe she was sick until I noticed she was sneaking drinks. I know some bartenders are allowed to drink on shift but she was very clearly trying to hide it. Both visits!! We could hear her giving attitude customers. A man & his wife were very upset because she almost refused to give them back the correct amount of change and nastily insisting they were wrong until they pulled out the calculation their phone. Makes me wonder how many times she’s done this to other people and they haven’t noticed….

I've given this place way to many chances. It just doesn't get better. Could be a great place, but it is horrible managed. Waited 2 hours for dinner last week when I brought my girlfriend. Then waited a hour and a half after I said I wanted to order only to be told they were out of what I wanted. Smfh

It's hit or miss with this place. Sometimes the food is great. Other times, the "B" team is in the kitchen and you get burnt wings, dry salmon and warm salad

Small, oddly laid out, quirky place! Waiter could not have been nicer! Quick service and food was delicious. We had fried grouper meal, grilled grouper meal, fish and chips, oysters. All were well done and very good. Didn’t try desserts! Too full! Will return.
