I've given this place way to many chances. It just doesn't get better. Could be a great place, but it is horrible managed. Waited 2 hours for dinner last week when I brought my girlfriend. Then waited a hour and a half after I said I wanted to order only to be told they were out of what I wanted. Smfh

It's hit or miss with this place. Sometimes the food is great. Other times, the "B" team is in the kitchen and you get burnt wings, dry salmon and warm salad

Small, oddly laid out, quirky place! Waiter could not have been nicer! Quick service and food was delicious. We had fried grouper meal, grilled grouper meal, fish and chips, oysters. All were well done and very good. Didn’t try desserts! Too full! Will return.

Gator bites were tender and delicious. I had the shrimp wrap and it was filled with shrimp and had The right amount of Voodoo sauce. My son had the fish and chips and normally he can finish any meal but the fish was so big he had to take part of it home. Absolutely delicious!

Chef Manny walked around checking in with everyone, and we were so happy to personally tell him how much we loved our meals of Conch Fritters, Mussels w/Texas Toast, Grouper Tacos, macaroni salad, rice, and cole slaw. So delicious, thank you! Yummy margarita too. We will be back. Definitely!

This place is bad news..... RUN FROM THIS PLACE!!!! OUR EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN AWFUL SEVERAL TIMES. THE STAFF Has BEEN WHAT EVER ATTITUDE AND Owner IS JUST RUDE IN Address POOR QUALITY FOOD. Owners don't like it when you post about your bad experience....they attack you personally on communication sites and with posting companies. Even when it post on the Ruskin Folks page and you say they are bad news..... They have you dropped from the home town page.. You place is in the toilet and you will not keep help nor customer for your poor attitude..sorry you want to not hear the true and even go as far as having someone blocked NOT YOUR PAGE FB. I would not have posted here or any other review if you had NOT done that but now you have so I will have to post on all reviews site of the poor experience we have with you and how you operate. Your place is awful. Stay away!!!!!

We went to get takeout on 10/25/24. It was our first time going, and we will not be going back. First, there was no one up front, and when he did show up over five minutes later, he seemed like he didn't know what he was doing. He had to leave to get change and when he returned he didn't give us all of our change. Then he was gone again. The person in front to greet people is the face of a business and not being there or being indifferent reflects badly business. Then, it took over 30 minutes for our takeout order. When we got home to eat, the coleslaw for my side was rancid. Not just bad but spoiled. The shrimp in my po boy were fried almost black and were chewy, and the tomatoes also tasted bad. My husband's shrimp tacos had the same rancid coleslaw in the tacos and were inedible. Maybe they had an off night, but the whole experience put us off.

Went to Ruskin for a couple days for a deep sea fishing experience celebrating my man's 50th.. Our first stop for lunch n drinks was the Lazy Gator. The drinks, food and service were great! We stopped back in later that night to checkout their Halloween party and it was a full house with lively spirits... It was so good that the next day after catching buckets of fish, we brought in a few filets in to take advantage of their "Hook n cook" service.. again amazing! Huge shout out to the cook! I sadly can't remember our servers name but he was on it! This young man took great care of us every time we went in. Thank you for the amazing memories and experience. Definitly a place for the locals but welcomed us strangers like we belonged there. Highly reccomend stopping by if you're in the neighborhood!
