One of those hidden gems you look for for years. Great food and prices and relaxed vibe. I was on the fence about rating it well bc I want the magic to stay just the way it is, wish them the best and hope it stays like this forever

Three of us went to Ybor Grille on 3/15. It was probably quiet due to the rainy weather. We were quickly seated and taken care of by Rene A. We started with the Colombian Empanadas, mainly to compare to my MIL, who is from Colombia. They were very good, but could've used more beef filling. For dinner, my wife and father had the Lechon Asado (roasted pork) with black beans and yellow rice. Both said their dinners were very good. I had the Bistec Milanesa (breaded beef) with red beans and yucca. This dish was very good as well, although I didn't get a whole lot of red beans (maybe a spoonful); the bowl was mainly liquid. We each took a dessert 'to go', flan, bread pudding, and chocolate lava cake. Again, they were very good. Rene was very personable, shared good information about the menu, and made sure our glasses were full. We will return.

This was our first stop after picking up our rental in Florida. The staff was so kind and the lunch (i had the cuban) was an amazing first step into local cuisine. My wife said her meatloaf was amazing. Everything tasted homemade!

Ate there last night and I’m not impressed at all. Ordered yellow rice and chicken dinner. Chicken was a breast quarter with wing attached. Chicken had zero flavor, was dry. Only flavor was on the skin. Garlic mashed potatoes were semi warm and chunky with little garlic flavor. Yellow rice was good and flavorful. Our waiter was attentive and very nice.

Your greed sickens me. The bread to fixins ratio was way off. This cuban sandwich was 80% bread and 20% fixins. I was so upset that pictures needed to be taken of this atrocity. You are charging too much for just bread with a tiny side of meat. Dont eat here.

A taste of Tampa from the 1950, when cuban food was just getting popular.

We’ve been dining at Ybor Grille for over 10 years, and it continues to be one of our favorite spots. On our most recent visit, the highlight was our hostess, Libby. She is the perfect example of professionalism and hospitality. She is friendly, knowledgeable, and constantly on the move. She never sat still, always stepping in to support the servers whenever she noticed they could use an extra hand. She truly represents the restaurant with pride and care.
We also appreciate the restaurant’s updated décor. It feels refreshed but still true to its roots. Our hope is that the new owners will continue to honor the classics that make Ybor Grille special, especially the deviled crabs and the Ybor salad. These staples are a big part of why we keep coming back, and why so many loyal customers feel at home here.
We will absolutely continue to patronize Ybor Grille and look forward to many more years of great food, great service, and wonderful people like Libby. We sincerely hope the new owners value their repeat customers as much as we value this restaurant.

My husband and I dine at Ybor Grille regularly and we are always impressed by the consistently excellent food and wide variety on the menu.
During our visit today, despite the dreary weather, we were warmly welcomed by Libby, whose friendliness and genuine hospitality makes each experience even more enjoyable. She does a wonderful job of greeting guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Libby is truly an asset to your team.

We eat here often, usually awesome food and service. This time we decided to take out and ordered Ybor salad and pressed Cuban sandwich. Sandwich was not pressed and the normal fillings were short of the norm and simply was just ok at best, Salad as normal was excellent

Been looking for a true Cuban restaurant. I ordered lechon Asado and my wife ordered the pork sandwich. Everything we had, the red bean soup, chips, chimichuri was superb!
Best Cuban food in a long while. Wait staff welcoming and efficient. Food came out quickly.
Do yourselves a favor and get there.

Before I go into this I want to say that everybody that works there is very lovely, including and especially the lady at the front taking the orders and paying she's got long hair and glasses tall and thin. Very lovely lady. I ordered two Cuban steak sandwiches. Not Cuban sandwiches two Cuban steak sandwiches. Some restaurants also call it pallomilla steak sandwich or they call it Pan con bistek. It's all the same. I ordered two of them and I didn't want everything on it and I opted just to have tomatoes, lettuce and onions. My godparents were Cuban. I grew up. Always going to Miami. I'm 58 years old. When she gave me the bill to sign it was $17.75. you can see it for yourself. I couldn't believe that they charged me $0.75 for the onions $0.75 for the tomatoes $0.75 for the lettuce and that they put my potato sticks on the side. The young lady who brought my sandwich out told me I put your potato sticks on the side and I said okay. Earlier when I was waiting on my order I was talking to the nice lady at the front and I showed her the menu to Little Havana in Riverview and Box of Cubans in Riverview. Little Havana costs $9.99 for their Cuban steak sandwich which they call Pan con Bistek everything is included and they don't charge you extra for it. Then I pulled up the menu for box of Cubans. Their Cuban steak sandwich only is $10.99 and it includes everything including the potato sticks. The potato sticks are not with the sandwich. They are part of the sandwich. They need to be inside the sandwich. As you can see they weren't. I was shocked. The food is absolutely delicious. I have no problem with the quality of the food and the quality of the service. She told me that she does not agree with the owner and that the owner is charging extra for all these things. I let her know that he's taking advantage of this demographic. this demographic ;The average age is 85 and there's no other place for them to go. I will never again go back to ybor grill. This guy is taking advantage that the demographic is from the Ohio valley from the Midwest and the average age is 85. Even 88 years old. They're not going to be going anywhere. They're not going to question anything because they have no idea that the prices should be half. Shame on him. Go to box of Cubans and go to Little habana in Riverview. Again. I want to make sure that I'm clear that the food is delicious here at ybor grill and that the service was great. But what the owner is doing as far as ripping people off. Thinking that they don't know any better is absolutely disgraceful. There was nothing wrong with the food itself, but I just took the picture so you can see the $0.75 worth of lettuce, the $0.75 worth of tomatoes and the $0.75 worth of onions. Ridiculous.
