Incredible food, it really blew me away with every plate.
Best soul food around Safety Harbor! We loved everything we ate- the fried chicken, seasoned green beans, collards and banana cake. Great family operation right inside the VFW. Find this hidden gem. The word is out.. Go get some and you will love it too!

It was an adventure finding this place! I like adventures! It's hidden in the VFW which is hidden in the back of an industrial park. Use GPS at your own risk as google took us to the wrong place.Believe it or not, you do not have to be a veteran to enter the VFW. All my respect to veterans! The restaurant inside is available to the public however the VFW bar is limited to veterans. All good. I was here to try the restaurant! And try it we did!The folks working here are super nice. In fact, they gave us free banana pudding pie and helped me carry the food to the car. Thanks! As for the food, the sides were good which is important at a place like this. Smoked corn, collard greens, beans and tater tots all hit the spot. My fried fish portion was huge and crispy, the fried chicken was moist and the wings were tasty but not overly flavored. All in all, it's straightforward southern American soul food which doesn't pretend to be something that it's not.Did I meet Molly & Peaches? No, but I got the story! They are the owner's two grandmothers who living just one block from each other in Safety Harbor, years back. The restaurant is a remembrance of them! Respect!Life is good with a fun and tasty local adventure!
