I don't understand. The food here was great, the staff were awesome, the ac barely worked, the fans on the patio did not work, the seating is cramped, and the chicken takes longer than a hour at times, but those negatives did not matter when you got your plate of chicken, mac & mashes tatoes. It was worth the wait, worth the cramped dining experience, and worth the heat & bugs. I always over looked that, but now they used the hurricanes as a excuse for over a month for changing up there style and getting cheap. None of the waiters were there but 1 (3 different visits in the last 3 weeks) you have to order like its fast food at a counter first vs sitting and being waited and its not a fast food style place to operate that way. They removed mac & cheese from the menu and that did it for me. There new thing is “rotating menu” and that is just goofy. People like consistency. This is not NYC this is a home spot and should have consistency. When i drive past safety harbor i want 3 things. A slice of Nonas pizza, and chicken & Mac from this place, and well now i guess there is no reason to stop while passing through. I gave it 3 shots after the changes before leaving this review and hope the owners see this. I am a 3rd gen native of these parts and what yal had a year ago was perfect, had everyone buzzing. Dont go down this path of restructure and rotating anything. Consistency and quality is key. Hope you guys see that.

Amazing staff and the food even with a limited menu due to hurricane Milton was incredible. I would definitely recommend this establishment.
Parking: Street parking seemed reliable and easy to park.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp to the entrance. Easy to access with a wheelchair with no issues.
Don’t be fooled, they added on 20%. I didn’t look closely at the bill and added a generous tip. I didn’t see anything on the menu that said they were adding a service charge and I didn’t notice the bill until I got home. It’s a ‘so so’ restaurant that won’t get a second chance to take advantage of me.

My husband and I were really looking forward to lunch here at Southern Fresh as we have heard their fried chicken was great. Well the chicken was hot and juicy but the batter it was fried in is the same batter you use for catfish, not fried chicken...and it tastes like it as well! On top of all of this they tack on a 20% service fee and then go onto tell you that the server only gets 15% of that 20%...and then encourage you to add on more of a tip for your server?? You are kidding right!!! This was our one and only time here!

The chicken is excellent and the sides are good. If you eat inside at dinner time, it is close and very loud. Corkage fee is $10. If you can avoid the noise it is very good.

The fried chicken is a must try. The smoked wings are oh-so smokey and juicy!

Bad experience. Visited the restaurant with a friend. Ordered food, waited around an hour for the order (restaurant was not busy). Wrong chicken was brought out (both orders), returned it. When the right chicken came out, it was missing one of the sides. There were no utensils brought out, asked the server two times. I ate half of my meal and the missing side still didn't come out, so I canceled it. The meal itself was so-so, and certainly didn't match the price. Chicken too greasy, broccoli burned, other veggies overcooked. At the end we were surprised with a mandatory 20% service fee on the bill. I would have given 0. I paid online by scanning a QR code. Finally, while I was charged correctly, the receipt I received in my email had wrong items listed. Definitely will not return.

What a nice Southern and Simple, but yummy meal we had here! We ordered The Southern Fresh Salad, it was delicious!! The grill chicken looked and tested fresh! Also ordered the pork chops, very crispy and very good!
