Museum Of The Islands

Great customer service and an historic place to eat. It is the site of the first school house on Pine Island.

We loved the view and location but the food was very disappointing and over priced. It seemed like we were an inconvenience. We were there during normal business hours not close to closing time. Hope to try it again and have a better experience next time. We were there in March.

I'm from northeast, Boston to be accurate. I could eat baked haddock all day. The best chowder is not in Boston but on cedar key florida. Cedar key won so many chowder competition s in Boston they were disqualified from entering any more.

I say all this because of the grouper platter I had yesterday.
Grouper was flash grilled. Was good, yet such a small portion.

Platter came with 2 sides. The coleslaw was money. One of the best I ever had. Sweet potato fries were not hot.

Ordered a cup of their chowder to try. Tasty mix of corn and potato.

Tried key lime pie. Not so much.

Grouper platter was $ 27. Beer only. No bar. Wine selection from nowhere.

In summary. Over priced grouper platter, great Cole slaw, A what is this chowder and an average pie.

Haven't been here since before Ian took its toll on the island, wasn't sure they were even open but I was pleasantly surprised, nice interior remodel, I had the Grouper dinner with Cole Slaw and Mixed Veggies, all were excellent, this place makes the best Cole I've ever had, And I've eaten alot of it at different places, theirs is Tops.

First time dining here, our group all had grouper, and it was very good prepared grilled and fried. The sides of French fries, onion straws were good too. Their side of mixed vegetables was excellent, a nice assortment of fresh veggies. Only downside was the limited draft beer choices. I will say their wheat beer was very good and it was cold. Enjoyed our dinner.

The crab crusted grouper was excellent and finished with the coconut cheesecake. Beautiful sunset to top off the evening.

I had the Shrimp and Scallop Pot Pie. It was delicious . We didn’t have to wait long. The view sitting outdoors was great. Our server was easy to talk to. We asked to have our pictures taken. No problem. A bit pricey .
I would go back though !

Busch light beer $9.90 Lack of flavor for boom boom shrimp. Asked for Jamaican seasoning on grouper, couldn't taste it ..very small fish n pasta was cold and oily. Completely unhappy with food n beverages and OVERATED. $150 later for 3 people..REALLY!!! A 1 and done for sure😤

Mid afternoon visit. Had a great Grouper fish taco, one of the best I have had in Cape Coral area. Homemade pico and crema. Yum. Also pictured Shrimp Po’Boy. Great views on a fun outside patio. To top it off nicely, our server, Savannah, was chatty and friendly and offered up a little Island history. We will return. (Beer & Wine only). They offered a decent refreshing Sangria that I enjoyed with extra lemons.

Dietary restrictions: My husband has a fish allergy. Savannah said she would definitely inform the kitchen.

The first impression you get when you try a new restaurant is the hostess, and we were not disappointed! Cathy, the hostess, was warm and welcoming when our party entered, and she explained about the lift and gave us information about the restaurant. She seated us at a wonderful scenic table where we could look out on the lake. She also explained that on the weekends, we could enjoy live music. Cathy actually made us feel appreciated and special, and she is a true gem, an asset to the Waterfront Restaurant.
