Awesome food and the atmosphere is amazing. They’re located on central right in the heart of downtown St Pete. They’re patio seating is where it’s at. The GM Dushku is very personable and attentive and Valerie is an awesome server. I highly recommend Acropolis for a date night out, party, event or to just have a drink for happy hour.

Visiting the area for the weekend, not only was I blown away with how delicious and fresh the food was, but wow! The Service was hands down the best… Welcoming, attentive staff. Really great atmosphere and decor. Spotless bathrooms and crisp fresh drinks. Very happy with my entire experience!

Do not eat here. There are multiple other places you can get better food and much better service. We found two hairs in our food - one inside our hummus and the other inside a children’s lemonade with a lid on it. Neither was comped, paid full price for everything. Our waitress was unhelpful to say the least, incompetent us a better word for it. The menu says ”ask us about our unique draft beers“ and when we asked she had no idea what they were and the beer came out in a glass bottle - clearly not a draft beer. I asked about a mixed drink and she couldn’t tell me anything that was in it. She reluctantly agreed to ask the bartender and return to tell me. The drink was $12 and mostly juice, couldn’t taste any alcohol. She literally forgot Two out of five of our meals, and we never received part of one meal but got charged full price for it. The food we did receive was average or below average. I strongly don’t recommend the orzo which was unseasoned and bland. Also, it’s pretty hard to mess up a gyro, but theirs was very dry. At the end of the meal, the waitress almost conveniently forgot to tell us the gratuity was included in the check. She mentioned it after the check was being signed. She also announced to the table what the total for the meal was, which was very odd to me (and very tasteless) especially since we had two separate checks. This place was a rip off and very frustrating. I would certainly not recommend anyone go here. Go to the Greek place on 4th St N instead, it’s a much better experience.

First I would like to thank the staff for a very enjoyable dining experience. My brother and I took my mother to your establishment in St. Petersburg for her 81st Birthday on 3/12. We were very impressed with the layout, decor and atmosphere. We were promptly seated. Our servers were attentive and informative with many options on the menu. And made our dining decision relatively easy. I settled for Greek meatballs, my brother, chicken kabobs and mom, the seafood platter. Everything was delicious and truly authentic. If you've got a hankering for Mediterranean cuisine. Go no further than Acropolis.

Ordered the chicken kabob with Uber eats and it came as one single kabob with 4 small pieces of chicken, a few veggies and a half a cup of rice for $25. Then add tip and deliver fee all in $35. I would not recommend delivery of this restaurant. Unfortunate as I have eaten here many times for lunch and the portions were plenty and taste is great but not with the money for delivery ?

I came here with my parents for a Valentine's Day lunch, and it definitely hit the spot. It's been a while since we have been back to acropolis, but my parents and I enjoyed it. The outdoor patio was lovely with half shade/half sun. The food was delicious. My only suggestion would be to have 3 sizes on the Greek salad. Maybe a side Greek salad, half Greek salad and full Greek salad. My mom is really picky, but she ordered the raspberry ice tea, and she was impressed (tasted homemade). The fried mushrooms were a great treat. Our waiter was busy, but he was top notch and working 5 tables outside, BUT.. he made sure everyone was happy and satisfied. I wish I'd remembered his name, but he was friendly, smiled, and was great at his job. I worked in the service industry for over 15 years, and sometimes going out can be an awkward experience if the service isn't good. Acropolis was a perfect choice for our family lunch. What a treasure in Central St. Petersburg! From the moment we walked through the door, our experience was outstanding, especially the cuisine. The HORIATIKI SALAD’s cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, pepperoncini, capers, olives, green pepper and fresh oregano drizzled with extra virgin olive oil/ red wine vinaigrette. Topping it with feta cheese & pita strips was a tasty, crunchy touch to a great meal all by itself. Randomly I picked the AVGOLEMONO SOUP as the name intrigued me. I’m now totally in love with its Creamy Chicken, Rice, Egg and Lemon mixture. Can’t wait to try to make it myself. Coupled with a delicious traditional Gryo, I was over the moon. If we’re ever back in St. Pete, this place will get another visit for shur!

Delicious! 4+ stars. Only way it could be better is if it was in Greece! (Parking for area is lousy!) Our server, Erin, was efficient and nice. Food was very good. We were not familiar with the area so will check out parking lots but will definitely come again!

I was not very impressed with our lunch but it wasn't terrible. I'm sure much of it would have been better had it been hot when delivered, which seems to be a problem they have judging by the other reviews. The fries were good cold but would have been a awesome had they been hot. The salad looked delicious but the dressing tasted like straight oil, no vinegar or seasoning. The falafel was good but again would have been great had they not been cold. The gyro platter was ok, nothing special. The outside seating was the best part because it was such a beautiful day. It seems they only have one server which is fine if they can handle it but the cold food, no refill on water or a quick check to ask if everything is good makes me think they might need another person on the floor.

My daughter and two granddaughters sat at the bar here yesterday and had a wonderful time! The bartenders name is Andrea, she was new to the job but made really good espresso martinis and Tito’s Mule! She was friendly and easy to talk to as well! I don’t remember what food I ate there only that it was delicious! Great place!

We had walked past the previous evening having made reservations further down the street and just on the look of the place we decided to go the next night. I’m glad we ignored recent reviews because we absolutely loved the place. It was quiet as it was Sunday evening but enough people in and great music playing it felt vibrant. Valerie our host and was great, and seated us at a lovely spacious booth. And then the food! I think we chose well- gyros and moussaka with the humous/taramasalata/aubergine with pittas to share (I can’t remember the name of the sharing platter but it was so fresh!) Great selection of wines too- I had the Macedonian rosé which was crisp. All in all a fantastic experience.

Shambolic service, followed by below average food and a manger who was downright rude when approached with the numerous (too many to mention in this post) issues we had with our night. We left a 20% tip, but really felt hard done by. 8 guys from the UK, never experienced anything that bad any where in world.

Nice restaurant. The food was good and so was the service. One thing I notice about this restaurant is that their food is displayed beautifully as you can see in the pics. The ginormous fried stuffed mushrooms were very good. The lamb chops were tender and juicy. We shall visit here again.

Such a disappointment. We gave this restaurant a five star review on July 21. I asked my husband to bring me back today. It was so disappointing. We got there at 1:50...I know this from our parking meter. At 230 we finally got our order..and it was wrong. They took it back and we waited another 20 minutes. I have to say I really enjoy the Athenian fish but today it just wasn't as good. Add that to our really long wait time AND the fact that we were the only diners there. I am sad because we have always enjoyed our time there before.
