Beautiful place, but didn't enjoy my food. The mural, the interior design and even the ladies room decor is magnificent! The server took extra care about food interolerances, which we appreciated very much. Avoid the bread (empty calories, no flavor) and apple tart (pretty but zero flavor, except for the spoonful of amazing coconut sorbet). The side dish of roasted veg was 95% mushrooms (sadly overdone).

I took my wife here for her birthday in mid-December, 2024. It was SUPER crowded on a Friday night, so we could not get an inside table until 8:30 pm, and it was still very busy (and noisy) at that late hour by the time we got a table. Our table was wedged between two other tables, so it was not at all romantic or quaint for a special occasion. Our waiter was very good and professional. The food menu is pretty limited on entree choices, but that had a good selection of heavy appetizers that most of the younger crowd here seemed to be having as their dinner. I ordered the Lamb Bolognese Past, and my wife had the Cacio e Pepe. My Bolognese was delicious, but the Cacio e Pepe had too much black pepper in it, so it was very much on the "too spicy" side compared to what you would get in Italy, and it seemed short on the peccarino-romano cheese as well. My only real gripe about this place was the noise and somewhat crowded seating inside. I probably should have asked for a table outside to make it more quiet and romantic, but it was on the chilly side that evening. I also thought it was a bit overpriced for the amount of food and drinks we ordered. I think this place would be fine for a small group of young folks to dine, but it's definitely not quiet or quaint for special occasions.

Parking: Parking anywhere along Beach Drive here on a busy weekend night will prove to be impossible to find. There are several options within a 2-3 block walk where there are paid parking garages.

My first time ever coming here after we received some recommendations. Didn’t live up to my expectations but wasn’t a total let down. The drinks were good. The small plates/appetizers that were delicious were REALLY good and then there were some I had to spit out. I never spit food out. Ever.

It wasn’t that it was inedible, it just tasted really badly to me. We had the bread service and the butter that was white just tasted awful. No one at the table wanted that butter. The other butter that came with it wasn’t that much better.

The one good thing about this place was its delicious beef tartare. I appreciated the presentation of it being mixed at the table too. Pâté was also on point. The bread that came with it was perfect in texture. The goat cheese was well loved.

We also tried the foie gras oysters. It was okay. They were really really small and each order ($17) only comes with two. They tasted good, but not good enough where you’d care for another bite. The snapper crudo was also okay.

With how good some of the appetizers were, we expected a lot out of our main dishes. I was severely disappointed. The lamb shank was too salty and full of fat (albeit tender and well portioned). The octopus was tender but felt like mush. The pork chop’s glaze was too strong and it outshined the chop. The lamb bolognese was subpar as well.

The service was probably the worst about this experience. Our server seemed to have a bad attitude from the start. Wouldn’t check on us enough, and forgot our drinks. It was a simple soda that we waited 15-20 mins for. We ended up not being able to have it with our food. It also wasn’t like she wasn’t around. She serviced a table next to us with ease and was very helpful with them. It wasn’t until the very end when we asked for our check that she perked up and talked about dessert and being super friendly all of a sudden.

I normally wouldn’t care about this kind of thing, but when you pay about $400+ for a meal, you expect more. Wouldn’t you? We normally leave really good tips (35%+) but we gave industry standard because we left with a bad taste in our mouth. (Literally and figuratively).

We had our after-wedding dinner at Allelo, and everything was absolutely amazing! The food was flawless—every dish was perfectly crafted and full of flavor. Coming from the Mediterranean, our group had high expectations, and Allelo exceeded them in every way. The chic ambiance added to the experience, creating a warm and stylish atmosphere. Every single one of us loved the food and the overall vibe. Highly recommended!

What A beautiful restaurant, nice and cozy. We opted for the brunch and it was amazing. The waiters were also amazing. The French toast was the best by far I’ve ever tasted. I recommend this restaurant for brunch and drinks.

Get the family style brunch. It's a good amount of great tasting dishes. We got a recommended private rose and loved it.

Vegetarian options: Tons of vegetarian options. It might even be mostly vegetarian given the season.
