I am adding an edit but still feel that this is the best restaurant in Saint Pete. I'm writing to you again regarding the delicious soups at Athenian Gardens – I truly appreciate the variety and quality they offer. I've noticed, however, a recurring issue that's impacted my enjoyment of the soups, specifically the orzo chicken soup. The inclusion of red pepper pieces, while perhaps appealing to some, significantly detracts from the overall experience for those of us who prefer not to have red pepper in our soups. Please put Red pepper flakes on the side.
The unexpected spiciness and strong pepper flavor overwhelms the delicate balance of the other ingredients in the orzo chicken soup, rendering it less enjoyable for a large segment of the customer base.
My family and I have eaten here for years. Angelo and Demitri do an incredible job. If you are lucky, you might see the father, Jimmy sitting at his table. He always has a smile. His wife made the pastries years ago, I can still see her. Spiro, Angelos brother, was such a kind soul, god bless him. Niko, Nasser and Kayla are great servers. The guys in the kitchen are very nice, always have a wave. You don’t feel like you are at a restaurant, you feel like you are at Jimmy’s house having a great evening. This is our go to place, we never get tired of it. They have all become friends.

Gyro was great! Lotta of meat!!! Had to order another Pita Bread because of so much meat. Isabella was amazing!!! Excellent customer service and wonderful smile!! Nice and Kind to everyone who came in..!!! Very rare nowadays to see such magnificent customer service. She was warm and welcoming! Service was fast as well.

Decided to grab some Greek for dinner and to surprise my mom, who loves Greek food too. Located in the Crosswinds section of town, which is perfect. Upon arrival I was greeted immediately. The cashier was excited and couldn't wait to assist me. It was take out but she made me feel like my business was important.
Ordering was a breeze, and she actually recommended the chicken souvlaki, which was so delicious. Chicken was cooked perfectly and not dry. Highly recommend it, myself. Greek Salad was ok. I still don't get why they put potato salad in there. In Greece when you order a Greek Salad there's not even lettuce.
The wait time wasn't bad at all. Ordered 3 meals and they were ready in about 20 minutes. Price was fair. Spent right around. $52.00 with a larger tip included. Establishment was very clean and wait staff was quick to buss tables. Their was steady foot traffic the whole time. I loved the atmosphere, everyone walking out seemed pleased. I will definitely be back.
Been going here for several years and each time we come here we are never disappointed! I ordered the souvlaki combo with lamb and it was delicious. Made using only the best quality ingredients and always served with the friendliest staff. Got red wine with it, amazing traditional Greek food.

Placed a Order to go.. Ordered a Gyro and when I got home all I got was a small box of just meat.. NO GYRO.. I called and was told stop back and I would get one free by a guy saying he was owner.. Few weeks later i stopped by for my free gyro and was told they couldnt do it. OWNED BY LIARS..I was a regular from VA hospital down the road. Never again liars.. PLENTY OF PLACES WITH HONOR TO BUY FROM THAT ARE NOT LIARS...

Been eating at Athenian for the better part of 10 years off and on and the older server just ended my business here over some overcooked grouper and undercooked/old rice that could of just overlooked as a bad kitchen day. Instead, I leave hungry and aggravated.
I won't return while the very unprofessional server maintains employment.

No other restaurants in the area that serve a quality menu than Athenian Gardens. The Entrées are exquisite and beyond delicious. The chefs infuse flavors beyond perfection. The Chicken Marcela and stuffed cabbage melt in your mouth. Marinara sauce and Marcella sauce seasoned with exquisite taste. I cannot say enough about this restaurant. Not only is the food delicious, the portions are above and beyond. Salads are fresh with flavored toppings. I cannot say enough about this restaurant. The desserts are mouthwatering.
Ella and Nicholas went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was perfect. I highly recommend Athenian Gardens. Kudos to the chefs, Ella and Nicholas.
