Placed a catering order with this restaurant for an event with 80 people attending. Jan called and left a message letting me know when she needed the credit card information by to secure the order (voicemail still on my phone). I called her by the time she needed payment information, which was the day before the event (payment wouldn't even be processed until morning of delivery) and she tells me they can no longer do the order. Extremely nonchalant, did not even call me to let me know that they were no longer able to complete this order. AVOID THIS BUSINESS!!!!!

Such great food, simple and quick service, and a warm, upbeat atmosphere. We’ve been in the area for 9 days and this is already our second visit. Breakfast and lunch are equally good!

Under the expert leadership of Jen, the restaurant exudes a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. What truly stood out, however, was the outstanding service provided by both Alison and Jen. Overall, City Bistro is a hidden gem in St. Pete, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delightful dining experience led by a passionate team. We can't wait to come back!!

Update: changing review to 1 stars as the response from the owner was fairly accusatory for no reason. The hairs were literal human hairs. I can differentiate between plant matter/ palm fronds vs HUMAN HAIR. They weren't even in the bread. Also, though I didn't like the chicken salad, that's not why I gave 2 stars in the first place. The food was just basic. I would've given a 3 if there had not even hairs. BUT I will not be returning nevertheless. Find better sandwich places, there's lots in the area.First off, I took my order to go so I didn't notice any of these things while still in the restaurant. To start, there were three hairs in my Cuban sandwich - disgusting. They looked like beard hairs or something but after finding the THIRD hair, I couldn't continue eating it.The chicken salad is really bland and tastes solely of mayo. Also, the Brie and bacon sandwich was just okay but wasn't anything special by any means. I won't be back, but the service when I ordered was good...
