Coney Island closed in March 2021 for good. Very sad. I ate there for 50 years and now the owner's Son doesn't want to keep it open. It appears that he doesn't even want to sell the business. A previous longtime employee said he was never really interested in the business, alas, it's closed. The owner has said that he wants to reopen but he's in his 80's, so that probably won't happen.
The food is very good, service ok, but while they talk a good game about wearing masks, both books had them hanging below their nose, the prices are high considering the stale products, chips were like cardboard
Excellent service, low priced menu and friendly atmosphere. Just wish the hot dogs were a little bigger (I didn’t want to order 2 - too much bred with 2 little dogs). Root beer float was good.
