Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I love barbecue and was wanting to try Dickey's in Tyrone already having Dickey's in the Midwest feeling it was a good option! I got mold poisoning due to the soft drink despenser and threw up for a day and a half. There's a reason why this place is run down and the foreign guy owns it!

Dickey’s BBQ Pit was a bit of a mixed experience. The service was great, and the brisket was super juicy and flavorful, but the rest of the meal was hit or miss.

The chicken was dry, the pulled pork was just okay, and the mac and cheese wasn’t good at all. The fries needed more time in the fryer, and to top it off, the soda machine had no ice, and the drinks were flat.

Overall, not the best BBQ we’ve had, but the brisket and friendly service were the highlights.

I have ordered from Dickie’s St Pete’s several times. As an event planner I am pleased to state that they deliver a professional and courteous service. The food is of high quality and more importantly tastes delicious! They are flexible and work with me on a business level, and I appreciate their services and their staff and management.

My dad and I are always looking for new BBQ places to try and somehow completely missed this place on our list until last week. At first glance this would look like a chain restaurant and we typically aren’t impressed by those but HOLY SMOKER! These guys are LEGIT!! The brisket is amazing! The pulled pork is really great and the fried okra is everything you would expect from an authentic southern food establishment. We are definitely going back!

I'm not sure who can afford to eat here, delivery or dine in. Loved this location when it opened many years ago, but the prices have crept and quality lessened. Brand management must be smoking something, and it isn't pork.

The first time my husband and I went to this location, the atmosphere was dingey and claustrophobic. We order a brisket plate and a pulled pork plate. The meat was awesome and so were the sides. We were so happy with it that we ordered (online) take -out four days later for ourselves and two guests at our house. I arrived ON TIME to pick it up. I got back to the house (2 miles away) to find nothing like what we experienced when we ate in. The portions were reduced, french fries were cold, coleslaw was upside down, leaking and next to a hot side. We were missing two sides that come with the meat plates and they never put any BBQ sauces that I ordered with the meals. We will never order take-out or delivery again.

Absolutely no ice, sour tea, cold fries and cold macNcheese, ice cream was liquidity right out the machine. Employees didn't seem to care at all. Will not be back, will be posting videos/pics. This location is beyond sad. Paid for a company lunch.
