This place was recommended by a friend and they were right. The atmosphere and the service were great. The food was absolutely spot on. The flavors and spice were just right. If you’re sensitive to spice go with the mild and you’ll be fine. If you love spice, go for it!! Can’t wait to come

The last place I expected to find a good Indian restaurant was St. Petersburg, Florida. They are quite rare on the gulf coast, and the few that exist are usually mediocre. This place was certainly an exception. Indian is my favorite cuisine, and I live in an area (Atlanta) where there's an Indian restaurant on nearly every corner, but this place in St. Petersburg was one of the best I'd ever experienced. The food was great. I had chicken biryani (medium spicy) and my sister had vegetarian biryani (mild) and both of us really enjoyed our entrees. In addition we had Peshawari naan, a dish I had been looking for ever since we used to have it when i lived in Augusta, GA. The service was prompt and helpful. Our waiter described the dishes to my sister (an Indian cuisine newbie) and warned her about how spicy Indian spicy could be. The ambience was typical slightly upscale Indian with Bollywood movies unobtrusively playing in the background.

Have been eating Indian food for 60 years. My recent dinner at Gateway was one of my least enjoyable. Not worth the money.

Beautiful atmosphere and the food is great. I had methi gosh which is lamb with savory sauce, garlic naan and chicken 65 and Chai tea made with real cubed ginger.
Passed this restaurant a million times but first time in. Service was great, attentive and helped picked dinner option. Dinner was flavorful and delicious!

Kumar was our server. He was terrific. He even saw us outside taking a selfie and came and took a nice picture. The food was fantastic. We mentioned we needed to be in and out in an hour and they accomplished it without feeling rushed. Getting in to the parking lot can be daunting with heavy traffic. It was well worth it.

I'm giving 4 stars because they make paneer tikka masala the exact way I want it to be prepared. They are consistent. The service is nice. The naan is good. They give good portion sizes. I did not give 5 starts because the aestethic is not Pinterest or ig worthy. It's not ugly by any means, it's just not the sexiest spot. Thank you for making delicious Indian food.
