Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs

First time to HH a couple of weeks ago on a Wednesday evening! They were excellent. The man who took our order was friendly, kind and very helpful explaining the options and specials. Pizza was delicious and we will be back!

After landing late at Tampa I was hungry and noticed this place at the side of the road.

Guy behind the counter was polite and took my order quickly. Pizza was fast, only had to wait around ten minutes!

As for the pizza… it slaps hard! Just what I expected, no nonsense American style pizza, full of flavour, loads of topping… what’s not to like!

If I am passing by in Tampa and I am hungry I will certainly buy food again.

I ordered my food from here and did not receive it for over an hour and twenty minutes. When the food finally was delivered there were items missing. I called the store and they proceeded to tell me that they would have the item delivered when the next delivery person went out. After another 45 minutes of waiting I called back and they proceeded to tell me that they were busy and once again told me they would have the next delivery person bring it which could take another 25minutes. I told them that I had children waiting for it and had to get to work and the manager told me that “ I shouldn’t be cussing around my children cause they were gonna have a sailors mouth like mine”! Mind you I live approximately 7 minutes from this store! Management and delivery is absolutely terrible!!! I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM HUNGRY HOWIES AGAIN AFTER BEING A LOYAL CUSTOMER FOR 6 YEARS!!

Tried to place order, my bank account said I placed an order, I could not pull up order. When I call the store, I was placed on hold (ignore) by an incompetent employee for over 10 minutes. When I called back, I was placed in a que of their automated system. It's sad because when this location has good employees, their pizza is amazing but more often than not, they hire employees that don't care and it shows.

Parking: Pretty tough getting in and out. Limited parking on a busy street. Parking lot has a lot to be desired.

Kid-friendliness: I guess they're just about as friendly as you'd want anyone you don't know to be with your kid. Anyway it's take out only so I'm guessing they can't be overly friendly with anyone.

Wheelchair accessibility: It fits through the door.

I have been disappointed with the inconsistentlyof the pizzas lately. We order at the same time in the evening once or twice a week and it's been at best a 50/50 chance of a good pizza. One night dry and burnt. I notice an ad for a night time manager. Hoping you success in bring on someone who cares about the product they create.There is a great pepperoni special going on.

I just had my order accepted on the phone before 11 pm and I walk in and the guy at the front told me they’re closed…after they had accepted and placed my order on the phone???? This is ridiculous what kind of customer service and communication is that? I just drove all the way to the store to be denied. I am an extremely dissatisfied customer. If I could give 0 stars I would.
