Amazing service and food. From entree’s to dessert everything was delicious.

Our appetizers (crab cake & drunken island shrimp) were very underwhelming and portions were small for the price. My entree (American Snapper) was delicious, cooked to perfection, and the butternut squash risotto was amazing. My girlfriend's entree (lamb rack) was really good, but portions were small and the lamb itself was fatty. Not worth the $50 price tag. Overall, we were a bit disappointed with the atmosphere and the prices were too high for the quality of the food and the portion size. However, service was great and they have some other very intriguing menu items, so we'll definitely give them another shot.

I made reversions for Valentines Day here a week in advance. I get to the reservation about 10 minutes early and the entire place is filled. There were 3 other couples already there for 8:30 reservations (same time as mine). Shortly after, there were another 3-4 couples. They overbooked WAY too many people for that time frame. It was going to take at least another 30+ mins to get seated so we left. The problem was, on that day and at that hour it was tough to find another place to go to. I’m sure the food is likely good as it definitely looked good but it was irresponsible of them to book so many people at that time as it put a damper on our evening. I wouldn’t count on their reservations if you plan the evening far ahead of time.

This was our first time at Mad Fish. From the greeter, to our waitress, to the owner who came by to see how we were doing... it was a great experience. We don't know what the problem was, but we waited longer than we should have for our food to be served. Even without complaining, our waitress realized it, too, and comped us with a salad and additional glass of wine. The food was outstanding, and we will return to try other items. (Be sure and get the Brussels sprouts in the appetizer lineup. Delicious!!)

Very disappointed in our experience at Madfish. We reserved a table a month in advance for a special occasion and we weren’t seated. After an hour of waiting at the bar, we ended up leaving before getting our ordered appetizer. Hopefully, this was just an off night for them in their service.

Six of us went for Valentines Day, with a 5:15 reservation, outside seating. Appetizers were quick to come out, but the bread promised by the waiter did not appear until we flagged him down to ask for it an hour after we were seated. And he missed the salad for one of our group, even though it was her only appetizer and the rest of us had already enjoyed an appy, so she had to wait for it.
We did not get our entrees until 7 p.m., almost two hours after we sat down!
And at 7:50 I was tasked with going inside to try and get our bill. I handed him my credit card and stayed there waiting. At 8 p.m. a manager walked by and I expressed my frustration to him that we had been there almost THREE HOURS. He went to find the waiter, and we finally got out of there.
While we were not happy with the service (hence only a 3 star review), the food was fabulous. We enjoyed the shrimp and salad appetizers, the Seafood Pasta and Stuffed Grouper were amazing, and while the Shrimp and Scallop on rice was judged to be good by the three who ordered it, they did feel the rice was a bit starchy and it needed a bit more sauce as it was a bit dry.
We will go back as the food overall was really good, but never again on a special occasion.
Another disappointment - the online advertised Valentine's Day menu (surf and turf for two with salad and dessert for $109) was not on the menu when we were there. Instead, it was $75 per person, with a choice of three appies but no salad option, and an additional $49 per person to add a lobster tail. Ridiculous pricing.

Very good service and cuisine. Given the intimate inside space, parties of four or more are noisy, but we came early enough (5:30) to watch it fill up and avoid a packed dining room. I recommend reservations, as they were fully booked and turned away a few walk-ins. A bottle of lower shelf merlot, six fresh oysters, one wedge salad, and three rolls, with entrees of shrimp & scallops, and an 8 oz filet mignon with an add-on lobster tail with tax & tip was $275.

We were so disappointed with our steak & filet. They were not cooked to our perfection due to they were well done. Reviews were so excellent we were excited to dine on Christmas Eve.
The service was friendly & we were compensated for a beer & blackened shrimp.
The waitress offered to send our steaks back but it would have been a long wait.
Perhaps because the restaurant was extremely busy due to the holiday may have impacted on the quality of our meal.

Great food and fun place in St. Pete Beach! Amazing chateaubriand for two and seafood towers - fun to split with the family.

Love coming here! Now they have cocktails! The staff is always warm and welcoming. I always like to try something new so we started with the baked goat cheese and candied pecans, highly recommend! For our main course we decided on the Chateubriand for two. WOW! WOW! WOW! It was probably one of the best meals we have had here! If you are looking for a really good meal on the beach this is your spot!

This restaurant was very good. We had Thanksgiving dinner at this place. I ordered the turkey dinner special. It was the best turkey dinner I have had in a really long time. The staff were friendly and attentive. We will return when in St. Pete Beach.
