This place is absolutely outstanding. I will probably become a regular. It has a great atmosphere. Menu is like a cafe in Indianapolis I loved.

Sit on the veranda and enjoy a drink and view. Great people watching.

Lovely Bar and Then Fine-Dining While staying at the Renaissance Vinoy St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club, we had the opportunity to stop into Marchand’s Bar & Grill four times. First was just wines, while waiting for our room, and then we dined there one evening, and I returned for more wine, and two breakfasts. The venue is lovely, and historic. It’s located just off of the gorgeous lobby in the main building of the hotel. The room is a rectangle, with a modified Dutch Roof style, with a large, long, central cuppola with windows high on the sides. Those high windows provide quite a bit of light. Centrally located in the middle of the center of the room, is a bar, with seating along it periphery. Toward the entrance, there are several types of seating, mainly for the bar, from high communal bistro tables and stools, to smaller tables and chairs. Along each side of that central area, there are more intimate and elegant table arrangements, with the most elegant on the side toward the tower of the hotel, across a courtyard, and more casual table settings, toward the front of the hotel. Both are set back slightly, with large drapes for more privacy. We had one entire side, with the drapes closed, for the group dinner. There is also a “wine room,” with seating for about 12, and then across the center section, a round table for about 8, set to the rear of that side area. In those two, long dining areas, there are either windows, or doors (to the courtyard, or the front of the hotel), which are mostly glass. The middle of that room looks like it could be adapted for myriad seating arrangements, such as a dance floor (there is a grand piano to one side), a reception, or even a presentation to folk seated in chairs, with no tables. For my breakfast, I was seated in the same area, toward the tower and lawan, that was converted into a semi-private dining room space, a night later, for the group. Now, the bar has a “bar bite” menu, and a separate wine list from the restaurant, and I cannot say if it’s possible to get the full restaurant’s meals, and wine list served at the bar, as we did not need that. Upon arrival, we explored the B-T-G wine list at the bar, and then I looked over the restaurant’s wine list, which was much deeper. For our group dinner, wines were provided, and I had no input in ordering those. The food for both my breakfasts (Cuban Eggs Benedict, and then Grouper Hash) and the dinner (I had Scallops, and wife Beef Filet), was very good, as was the service. One thing that I did not investigate is wheelchair access to the room. From the lobby, it is up a few steps. While there are elevators around the lobby, I am just not certain that any provide access to the level that Marchand’s is on. Also, there is a ramp up to Veranda Café, just beyond Marchand’s, so that might put one out on the level with Marchand’s? In all, a very lovely multi-faceted room, and while we explored some aspects of it during this trip, I think that we missed out on even more. When we return, I will dine at Marchand’s Bar & Grill for dinner with just my wife, and explore both the menu and the wine list.

Excellent bar area and quality food and drinks. Not inexpensive. Nice bar to sip a martini and watch football on television, if that experience ever returns.

The service is always awful! I keep giving this restaurant another chance and then ask myself why. I visited for breakfast at 9 am and waited for 20 minutes in line with other patrons as we all shook our heads as to why. The restaurant was empty and servers were waiting for tables. The interactions between servers and the hosts was comical to watch. There is something wrong with the management as this poor service continues from year to year. This has become a biannual joke as I continue to try but the outcome is always the same!

I stopped in for breakfast. Probably have eaten here a hundred times over the years of visiting Florida. This was the most disinterested service I've ever received. I was dining alone and I think the waiter was more interested in larger tables with larger tips. He never asked about how I wanted my breakfast prepared. Came with burnt buttered toast. He didn't care when I commented when the bill arrived. I know it isn't a big problem, I just expect better from the Vinoy.

The historic Vinoy is located on the water in St Petersburg. We had a drink in the bar -Paul's Landing. We heard about the $19.25 three course dinner and decided to try it (5-6:30PM) . My four sisters and I had a wonderful dinner for our family. Highly recommend it. Great service, good meals!

What a beautiful historic bar... Located in the middle of the original Vinoy Hotel's restaurant. We had a delightful time courtesy of our wonderful bartender Christina, who took time to talk to us, educate us on the history, answer all questions and show us a good time. In the end, we stayed after a little drink to have a snacky lunch, and another little drink.

We don’t find ourselves in the same restaurant every weekend, preferring instead to try new venues. With friends, we recently dined at Marchand’s Bar & Grill at the Vinoy. We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the evening. The dining room is large and the tables are well spaced for conversation. The bar, in the center of the room is handsome and inviting. We’ll be back for a drink. We also enjoyed the piano player who started at 7:30 on that Saturday night. The menu is not expensive, but I suspect it changes with some degrees of frequency, maybe seasonally. I would want to check that before each visit. I also recognize that the atmosphere of Marchand’s could likely change from night to night, depending upon various conferences and events held in the hotel.

The dining room is open but they also have several rooms that can can closed off for more intimate affairs. The views out any window is to die for. I would highly recommend this venue for a quick drink, a snack or a full meal. What a nice day!

Greeted with indifference. Seated at too large a table for the party. Very slow service—main courses did not arrive for 40 minutes after order. Chianti ordered by the glass was not fresh. But individual server was conscientious and friendly.

This place is def our go to for breakfast and brunch. The staff has always treated us kindly and the food never disappoints.
