This was a fun little stop for my friends and I when we were in town. The DJ was great with playing our requests. The drinks are cheap and service is fast. The place isn't the nicest as it seems very divey/falling apart and the bathrooms had leaking toilets. But the vibe of the bar was a fun time!

They made me and my friends feel so safe and welcome. The drinks are awesome and the music is a whole vibe! Security is awesome and do a really good job, we had a creep following us in and they handled the situation really well and without causing any unnecessary drama!

Bouncer denied me entry with a temporary drivers license (waiting for a new one to be mailed because of real ID). He called his manager over to approve my global entry card. Manager was extremely rude and told me to get approval from SPPD located on the corner. The officer advised that I should just go to a different bar because they were not authorized to “approve” my global entry card (I got the vibe this wasn’t the first time this happened). I went back to the manger of Pelican Pub to let him know that he advised me incorrectly … then he immediately called over an officer (that was walking by) to ARREST ME FOR TRESPASSING. I was still standing on the public sidewalk, so no trespassing was happening, but the manger was extremely disrespectful. I’m assuming he didn’t think that I would have talked to SPPD (like he told me to) to approve my global entry card (that requires a three month waiting period, an interview, and a passport) and then be confronted by a grown woman, so he wanted to be a tough guy. It was giving … misogynistic and egotistical by a 5’4” man, so overall gross and wouldn’t recommend.
Danni is the greatest thing since sliced bread! She makes extra effort with all her customers to make them feel at home and welcome! The service is the greatest, and always consistent. Best place downtown.

After a show at Jannus live , I found “the pelican pub” . It was busy so I expected a wait for drinks . The bartender Dani was on top of it . I got my drinks fast . I was impressed. I’m in the service industry so I notice. She had a great mix of regulars and walk ups . A keeper bartender. I can’t wait to come back to St Pete !!
