Haven't been here in about 10 years, and back then, it was a great place to meet friends. But since, it has gone long in the tooth. The interior of the restaurant just doesn't smell...clean. I can't describe it except that it maybe retained the cooking smells from over the years that seeped into the fixtures. Old cooking oil smell? I don't know. The chairs are very uncomfortable and the overhead lighting needs to be rethought as one was right in my eye and I was squinting at my friends. My taco salad was fine, but putting the dressing on the side in a container would be preferred, as the lettuce was overly drenched. Just a suggestion.
Our waitress Ashley was great!
Like I said, RMC was great when it first opened, and now it's like a dimly lit cafeteria. A good interior refresh, some comfy chairs and a deep clean might improve it.

Our experience at Red Mesa Cantina was disappointing, to say the least. The issues started with the plastic cups, which had an unpleasant smell that affected the taste of our drinks. Plastic cups from a cafeteria isn’t something that should be used for customers especially on how old they are. The chips and salsa didn’t fare much better—the salsa resembled a bland tomato soup, and the chips lacked freshness.
The cheese quesadilla was overly stuffed with cheese but somehow still managed to lack flavor, with no noticeable seasoning or cilantro to enhance the dish. The rice was severely undercooked, which made it inedible.
The specialty tacos were another letdown. The pork belly taco was extremely dry, and my wife’s supposed Baja fish taco was actually a mahi tuna taco (presented as Baja) was overcooked and unrecognizable. Even the plantains, a staple for many, were over-fried and hard to enjoy.
This restaurant seems to cater more to people looking for drinks and a lively atmosphere rather than those seeking quality Mexican food. If you’re looking for authentic or flavorful cuisine, this is not the place.

I think I've been before, but in any case, when I was there recently I really enjoyed everything, food atmosphere and service. Had a mescalini...might be my new favorite drink. The filet tacos were great too. I will go back if in the area again.
Dietary restrictions: They did have noted options for gluten sensitive.

The food is simply not good. Its not even mediocre, its just bad and ruins the whole experience. Very unfortunate since this place has so much potential.

Exceptional Tequila Event Experience
I had the pleasure of attending a tequila event, and it was absolutely outstanding. The food pairings were spot-on, perfectly complementing each drink. The service was impeccable, going above and beyond to ensure a memorable experience. A huge thank you for delivering such a fantastic event – I will definitely be back!

We found the Mexican restaurant on Google and I can say the food is delicious! Chips and dip were good, Morongo was amazing, honestly! All the flavors just go together. We got the baja tacos which were ok but the duck tacos is to die for..so delicious. The drinks were on point! They are extremely busy, great atmosphere, servers are so nice. I would come here again. A definite must try!

I've always had great dining experiences at Red Mesa Cantina! I have gotten El Gordo about 20 times easily and it never disappoints. I have had other items too. I highly recommend

Great evening service and food.

It wouldn't take much for our ratings to all be 4 stars. The Brisket Enchilada dish is similar to Flautas, crispy, so non-traditional enchiladas.

The food was excellent and the service was amazing. Our waitress was top notch. The only reason I took one star off of atmosphere is because the air conditioners were leaking on the table and dripping inside.
