We visited Red Mesa for a birthday dinner celebration and chose to sit outside to take advantage of the beautiful weather and inviting patio atmosphere. The setting was lovely and set the stage for what we hoped would be a great evening.

Unfortunately, the service left quite a bit to be desired. While our waitress was friendly, she was noticeably inattentive throughout the meal. With a larger group, we expected things to be a bit more challenging, but the level of attention we received fell short of what we would consider acceptable.

As for the food, all of our dishes were flavorful and well-prepared, but sadly, they arrived at the table lukewarm at best. This took away from the overall experience, especially since we were all looking forward to our meals by the time they finally arrived.

On a more positive note, the chips and salsa, along with the guacamole, were fresh and delicious – definitely a highlight. I also really enjoyed the guava margarita, which was both refreshing and tasty.

Overall, Red Mesa has potential, and I’d be open to returning – perhaps with a smaller party next time – in hopes of a better service experience.

Went for lunch. Everything was excellent. The shrimp ceviche was some of the best I have ever had. Red Sangria was fantastic.

Filet mignon tacos-say less! Absolutely amazing vibes, staff and food! The patio is so cute and a great spot for date night!

The shrimp and mahi tacos were particularly delicious! The marinated chicken was piled atop the barbacoa. hardly any fillers.
A college campus is nearby. Young servers who are capable of shaving, getting their hair cut, and maintaining personal hygiene are highly valued. This, in my opinion, is a management issue.
Overall, it's worth going back for the location, food, and service! 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Great spot downtown for a Mexican meal. Classic options and some good custom creations unique to the location. Had a delicious quick lunch with a half of sangria (all day Thursday) and brisket enchiladas. I love enchiladas and these were a great new version to try. Will definitely be back!

Great place. I’ve been here a few times over the past few years and have always had a great meal. Our server was killer…I’m sorry I didn’t remember her name. Service was excellent and food came out on good time, even though we were there at their Sunday brunch and business was brisk. Easy parking and a good location.
I unfortunately forgot to take pictures

I went in today and was handed a menu that said in large letters “all margaritas and specialty cocktails 1/2 price Wednesday!”

When my bill came my margaritas were charged at full price. I asked the server and he said “house margaritas are not included in the promotion.”

If some things are not included in the promotion, the server should mention that when taking the order.

Fairly disappointed with this experience today.

I've been here a handfull of times. Food and service are always great. The house red blend is better than most. Love the picadillo.

We ordered a chicken quesadilla, filet mignon tacos plus some chips and salsa. I think it’s the worst food I’ve ever had. The chicken quesadilla was boiled dried chicken with NO SEASONING AT ALL! I took one bite a spit it out. The filet mignon tacos tasted like raw rotten meat and the salsa tasted like motor oil. I can’t believe this place is so popular.

Everything is better with family. This restaurant is perfect for a romantic evening, while in the afternoon it’s ideal for sharing with family or even enjoying on your own. I loved the décor, the spotless details, and the beautiful view that makes the place feel even more special. I highly recommend the sangria—it’s delicious and so refreshing.

Red Mesa Cantina is one of several restaurants in the Red Mesa line. This location offers a spectacular downtown view especially when dining outdoors in the open patio area.

The staff was professional, courtesy and responsiveness.

The menu offers a variety of unique dinning options from appetizers to entrees.

The loaded queso was delicious! I would come back just for that queso. We had a fairly large party outside the bar area which was perfect. Service was also great. No complaints.

First time here and the food was good but you need to space out the dish and not bring my appetizer and my main course all at the same time.
