This was our first time dining at Roccoco’s Steak House, and our friend was so excited to take us. We went in really looking forward to a great experience — especially at this price point. Unfortunately, while the food was excellent, the service did not match the standard we expected for a $400 dinner.
Our server, Andy, greeted us with a simple “hello” and seemed to pause as though waiting for us to initiate something — it wasn’t very clear or welcoming. He then asked about water preference and took our drink orders. We waited about 10 minutes for drinks, and when he dropped them off, he quickly ran to assist another table without checking in further.
It was another 15 minutes or so before he returned to take our appetizer order. By then, we were ready to order everything — appetizers and entrées — so we placed our full order at once.
Two of my friends weren’t enjoying their drinks and let Andy know. His response was simply “okay,” delivered in a tone that felt uneasy and slightly dismissive. One friend ordered a replacement drink, while the other switched to water. There wasn’t much follow-up or engagement about it.
When the appetizers arrived, he didn’t check in with us until the plates were already cleared. He also wasn’t able to tell us where the raw oysters were sourced from, which felt like a basic piece of knowledge for a steakhouse offering oysters.
When our entrées came out, he asked how our “steaks” were — even though only one person at the table had ordered steak. He did correct himself, but it added to the sense that he wasn’t fully attentive to our table.
I ordered a second drink and waited about 10 minutes to receive it. We then waited even longer for him to return so we could ask for boxes and a dessert menu. We decided on the crème brûlée, and similar to the rest of the evening, there was very little reaction or enthusiasm when we ordered.
To be clear, the food was amazing. Every dish we had was delicious and beautifully prepared. However, service is half the experience — especially at a restaurant at this price level. For a $400 check, we expected a more polished, attentive, and knowledgeable experience, along with some guidance or excitement about what Roccoco’s has to offer.
While the kitchen absolutely delivered, the service felt rushed, disengaged, and below the standard we anticipated.

$80 for my big steak at a company party and it was the best I ever have had. The side dishes were expensive and nothing special as far as flavor. Lots of atmosphere but you pay big for it.

I had yet another fantastic experience at Rococo's Steak last night. The food was fantastic. The drinks were great. The service in the bar area with Nicholas was exceptional! Thanks very much Rococo's and we will undoubtedly be back for another great experience in the very near future.
