I love the store, I always go back-and-forth between rollin oats and sprout , and I feel so disappointed, when you see employees so moody
Few thinks that got my attention yesterday
I’m very high on customer service, especially when you go to the cashier, you have a lady in the chair there, she look mad ,and then you have a lady bagging the food, a red hair to the shoulders. Can’t even say hi .I’m right there your packing my grocery couldn’t even smile. Could say hi ..Hello where is the custom service?
I don’t think the job is for you at the same time, it looks like you don’t wanna be there. Every one has stuff in their life, but especially when you deal with the customer service with the people just greet them.I don’t know if your manager or something, say hello say hi to the people, who passing by. Such a cold and mad looking people
I did like the fact that , the workers on the produce
Working on veggies department, were so cheerful, 💯 better then a cashier people
Also on the meat department, would be nice if the grass fed meat section could be more visible, like the 80/15 or 90/10 and the price, too far away ,and too small to read it,since the price is not on the individual package like other stores.
The staff who makes the smoothies are the nicest and so thoughtful with requests. The vitamin department has a very knowledgeable and helpful staff. Not too big very intimate whole foods store.
best local grocery store, not the cheapest but worth every penny
I visit this store OFTEN!
I come mainly for produce & gourmet mushrooms. I do wish they had a larger fruit selection. Tropical fruit like sour sop-jackfruit.
I wish they had pineapple that was actually ripe. I can only get that a couple places really disappointing 😥
Great assortment of local groceries at good prices
Great wine and beer selection
So sad how this place has gone downhill over the recent years. I’m bicoastal and hit this spot any time I’m East. It’s been such a delight as I’ve gone through some heavy chronic illness difficulties. When I’ve not been around, I’ve called in to speak to Kim who has been my go-to help line from afar. Just found out she’s no longer there -and- all that’s left is some grumpy peeps. Sad. I used to recommend this place to everyone.
I am a long time customer , forty five plus years ! I have shopped at this store and witnessed it’s growth and expansion for decades. As a person who worked in the natural foods business , retail and restaurant/juice bar for many years myself , customer care and knowledge and pertinent information is essential to me. I always recommend Rollin Oats for food, and for supplements, to friends who know my interest and serious lifelong involvement in health and nutrition. I am so disappointed to know that one of your best employees was let go. I realize that I can no longer send my people there for expert consultation .
The number one reason I feel strongly about this is really the dedication and knowledge and experience base of one of your long term employees, Kim Dixon. I had shopped at Rollin Oats for, long term , and always consulted with Kim when purchasing vitamins, minerals, herbs , and other supplements. I am aware of her long life involvement and experience, which greatly surpasses my own, so I have never hesitated to send anyone to her , at Rolling Oats. I have only gotten excellent feedback from anyone I have ever sent , based on depth of knowledge, willingness to share, awareness of contraindications for persons with certain health conditions . I was able to get to know Kim well when we both attended school to become Clinical Chinese Herbalists, as she went before me as a senior, and was so helpful in our internship with clients and in our classroom analysis and discussions . She brought clinical insight, intuitive and experiential knowledge together in a way that no one else did and that benefited the wide range of our client based needs. This was such an asset to our program and I am sure a great benefit to your business as well. Kim is dedicated, persistent, ever learning and sharing her deep knowledge base , and she walks the walk in every aspect of her wholistic journey. She in authentic, compassionate and always learning and growing.
Kim was always so helpful and resourceful and working many departments when needed. In 2020 , especially when so many lives were disrupted , she dug in and tried to do as much as possible to be of service to the Rollin Oats community and the community beyond ! I am really disappointed that she is no longer there .
I have to say that I am so disappointed with rolling Oates over the last few years. I’ve seen so many people let go of that place that were pivotal members of the community. This used to be my go to place to support local community produce fresh food, etc. I recently stopped going there because of a really rude cashier, Robin, that works there. She’s literally taken the good taste out of my mouth. She runs the place like she’s the queen bee, And she’s quick to make customers feel like lower class citizens. Rude.
And now to top it all off, I have come to realize that they let go of another key member in that store. Kim, who I discovered many years ago at least 10 years ago! Has always been my go to when buying my supplements and vitamins there at that store. I would actually go out of my way to go to the store just to ask her advice on what supplements and vitamins to get for me and my family and child. She is incredibly knowledgeable, incredibly kind, hard worker, and a true gem!
I’m not sure what’s happening over there at that store, but they’re definitely losing a lot of customers, especially after this loss. I am incredibly disappointed and appalled and quite confused as to why she was let go. Whatever happened to this community?
Whatever happened to the hood ol Rolling Oats we use to love….. At this point, I’d rather go to Whole Foods energy is definitely better there, sad :/
I've been going to Rollin' Oats for probably 11 years or so now, and I'm so disappointed to know that Kim was let go. Her help in the supplements department was the majority of the reason I came.
I've been chronically ill since I had a massive allergic reaction in 2013, and Kim was listening to me before any doctor ever did. There are so many times where her recommendations were, quite literally, the reason I was able to still function. Specific example: my doctors ignored me for years when I expressed that my birth control was most likely creating a bunch of my health issues. Kim didn't. She got me to try evening primrose, and it was the only thing that got me through the days full of extreme body pain, emotional breakdowns in traffic, intense digestive issues, headaches, etc. Kim was right about it being a hormone balance issue, and gave me the validation that I needed. I finally found a doctor that listened, and she discontinued my birth control. So many of my issues cleared up almost immediately. It saved my life because it turns out that the style of birth control that I was on, combined with some of my other health issues, put me at an extremely high risk of stroke. It took 8 years to get a doctor to listen to me. Kim figured it out while I was on a shopping trip.
I was always able to trust that Kim knew what to recommend, and that she had my best interests at heart. It never felt like I was being sold the most expensive thing or dismissed. I don't think I ever asked her a question that she didn't know the answer to.
You lost a good one Rollin' Oats. I don't know what your reasoning was, but all I ever saw as as customer was a woman who cared, was very knowledgeable, and was worth waiting my turn to be helped in the aisles for.
Restaurantji Recommends
Wide ranging produce section. There are organic items here that are more affordable than other stores so I make a point to come at least twice a month to restock.
I'm so disappointed in this store for letting one of the best people in customer service go that I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. My experience there was wonderful for years and I've simply lost trust in this store as they let Kimberly Dixson go and I think that it's a terrible loss on their part. I will not shop there anymore because I feel that the value of customer service and care for employees has diminished. She was kind, knowledgeable and professional but also extremely skilled and well educated in the field of health and wellness/nutrition and Chinese Medicine.
This is the best grocery store in st Pete.
Love coming here! Though it is pricey it is justified with the variety of clean products they sell. The cafe has some really delicious to go items, including the best tuna salad I’ve ever had. Their to go beverage selection is also insane and really delicious smoothies.
This is my favorite grocery store of all time! The produce are all organic and they have everything I need! Staff is friendly and helpful! So happy to be local to Rollin Oats!
