I recently visited Try Wine in St. Pete, FL, with my work company, and our first impression was nothing short of excitement and amazement. The unique ambiance and variety of wines caught our attention immediately, making it a place unlike any we've experienced before. The wine selection, ranging from reds to whites, old country to new country wines, and even dessert wines, was impressive. The interactive half-ounce, ounce, or glass serving options added a fun element to the experience. The card system for payment was user-friendly, allowing us to explore the diverse wine offerings effortlessly. Opting for a charcuterie board, we were eager to try the curated selection of treats. Priced at $40, the board included an array of tempting items. However, upon its arrival, we were surprised by its size, as it seemed barely sufficient for two people. The absence of meats was unexpected given the price, and the initial cheese and bread quality were not up to par. Nevertheless, the staff went above and beyond to address our concerns. They promptly replaced the cheeses, and in the end, they even comped the board, turning it into a learning opportunity. Despite our initial hesitation to inquire about certain aspects, the staff's kindness encouraged a more comfortable and enjoyable experience. Overall, Try Wine offers a unique and exciting wine-tasting experience, and while there were hiccups with the charcuterie board, the exceptional service and willingness to rectify concerns left a positive impression. I appreciate their commitment to customer satisfaction and the opportunity to expand my knowledge in a welcoming environment.

Went to Try wine with family for a fun adventure. While the selection of wine is robust, the prices are a bit steep. Per ounce for tasting average about 1.99 and a full glass is only 5ounces. In many instances you'd be better off tasting it 5 times to save money. We ordered a charcuterie board that came out last for our table - hard to pair wine when it arrived a hour plus after tasting. We built our own board - the prices are expensive but figured we would get our full. They put a few pieces of each cheese and the olives were few too. It was over 40 bucks for not much at all!! The pizzas are small for 25 bucks - more like flat bread. If you want to taste some wine - great place. But don't eat here. Not worth the money.

Awesome new restaurant. I ordered from their fall menu, stuffed duck breast, with cranberry jam and candid mint leaf. Sorry I was hungry and I forgot to take a picture of the food. Lol One of the largest wine selection I've ever seen. Each bottle has a quick description of the wine, its rating, and price. Prices ranged from $14.00 and up up up! The employees were ALL very helpful and knowledgeable about each bottle of wine. With the food, wine bar and wine selection, made it a great experience and a high light to my St Petersburg trip.

First time walk-in experience was mind-blowing. Zach approached us at the door asking us if this was our first time - we said yes. Zach began taking us on a journey around the world assisting us with a collection of meticulously chosen wines that embody the essence of vineyards from France to New Zealand. The entire atmosphere fosters lively conversations as you share your impressions and preferences. My favorite choice was the Broadbent Port, which was favored by George Washington (which I mentioned maybe once or twice over the hour-long + experience). We bought a bottle of the Port and as we were walking out, Zach held the door open and slipped a coin into my hand. When I looked down at my palm, it was a $1 coin with George Washington's face imprinted on one side. Zach's warm and approachable demeanor created a welcoming atmosphere, and his commitment to our satisfaction was outstanding - like seriously amazing. Zach's passion and expertise made the tasting truly memorable. Thank you Zach!!!

Visiting my sister in St. Petersburg. Owners were not welcoming because we had our 10 year old and 8 year old with us. Mind you, we were planning to buy a few bottles of wine and leave. And we made that clear when we walked in. But the owner (?) did not want our kids anywhere in that place. They're not wild and I had asked them to sit down at the empty table that was downstairs to ease the owner's clear (and unnecessary) prejudice. But that wasn't sufficient. As a result of the Grinch-like attitude with which we were addressed, we were out of there in less than 2 minutes and found somewhere else to spend $250 on wine. After we left, my sister then told me she had experienced a similar vibe when she'd gone in a month earlier with a friend (no kids), but she hoped it was a one off so she didn't mention it before we went in. I loved this place. You could try dozens of wines at your leisure. I have a hard time remembering one red type from another. Here, I was able to try as little as an half ounce pour of many wines to discern my favorites. Their card system of keeping track of your pours is welcomed. You can also build a decent charcuterie board of your own choosing.

I love it here! I've taken all of my out of town family and guests here and they have also loved it. Occasionally, the wine on some taps run empty and spits at you, but the service staff are great about refilling them and giving you what you paid for. The server also offered to take our picture and was very attentive and accommodating. Great experience all around.

Cute wine tasting bar and shop in downtown St. Pete. The ambiance was really nice and classy. They had tons of options for wine in every price point. You could select a taste , pour or glass. I appreciated they had some more wallet friendly wines ($8-10 a glass) that still were great quality.

Such a neat way to run a tasting room. They offer a myriad of flights and by the glass selections that really encourages us to branch out and try something new. Though we didn't partake this time around, the charcuterie selection was vast and diverse. We will certainly return in the future!

Try wine is a truly gorgeous wine bar that gives you the ability to try some higher end wines without having to risk the full price of a bottle to find out if you enjoy it or not they have an absolutely amazing staff who are friendly, knowledgeable, and polite and a really great selection of bottles at very reasonable prices to take home if you find something you do enjoy. I can't recommend try wine enough they are simply the best wine bar in the entire city

After visiting a museum on a rainy day, I was feelin classy and decided to check this place out. Try Wine ended up exceeding my expectations! The atmosphere of this place is super interesting. It feels like you are in a swanky private collection, but not of a snobby wine person just one that can appreciate all types. I found that the information displayed on the 'taps' was super helpful in choosing wines I was unfamiliar with and allowed me to push my pallet boundaries (I added a pic of my fav of the new ones I tried on 3/25/22). The food we got was tasteful. The notable item for me was the almonds!! I feel like I could've eaten a popcorn bowl full of them. The charcuterie list was extensive and they provide a checklist for us to order. My fav item was the pastrami-style smoked salmon. The service was also above average here. All were super helpful and available. They definitely find people that understand wine or at least appreciate it. I'd recommend this place for anything from a casual date to maybe even a nice start to the evening. I could see myself getting a late reso somewhere and meeting up early here for a fun drink beforehand. The wine choices are fun to talk about and an easy ice-breaker.

I went here last night for the first time and my group showed up kind of late but were still treated with OUTSTANDING service. Best part is there was who I thought was an employee being extremely helpful explaining and teaching us all about the wine selections. It was an incredible experience and he was beyond knowledgeable.... Come to find out he was the owner! Awesome food, wine, service, and experience. Must try.

The experience is everything. You get to enjoy small samples of wine that you might not want to pay for a full glass or bottle. Intimate seating situation as well so this is a nice place for a quiet date. Very knowledgeable staff on top of everything. My friends and I were a party of 4 and stopped by a little after 9pm on a Saturday night. We were seated immediately and not rushed during our tasting. We chose to just pick 6 wines from their menu which were served in little beakers. Loved that! Great selections to choose from with prices starting around $4 per taster. Be prepared to spend money. As per other reviews, this is not really a place to go for food. I wish they had a good happy hour with charcuterie and wine specials. Wish list!
