Our dream beachside wedding was this past May 13th. Our beautiful wedding cake was created by Southern Bay Bakery along with other delicious treats like Italian wedding cookies. Our wedding cake was perfect for our beach theme, looking like a wonderful coral reef filled with sea shells. We gave the bakery a photo of our inspiration cake, hoping they could replicate it and they did a wonderful job. The cake was delicious and we opted for two separate flavors during our fun cake tasting at their Dunedin location. Thank you for making our day so special!

I fell in love with this bakery when we first encountered their products at the farmer's market DTSP. HUGE cinnamon rolls, delicious stuffed croissants, and rum almond croissants. Unfortunately they stopped doing the market but are right next to the Sunken Gardens.I would recommend the croissants still, but the cinnamon bun tasted like it might have been a day old. They are large but it was dry and didn't have a distinctive taste. This is a charming little bakery with a location in St. Pete, FL next to the Sunken Gardens attraction. They have wonderful savory items like the Ham and Cheese delectable I love, along with many delicious sweets (real butter cream cupcakes and amazing buckeyes!) to test any diet! See photos!

Absolutely delicious! I picked up 18 cupcakes for a small work gathering and made the mistake of taking the leftovers home. In the last 48 hours I’ve eaten 6 cupcakes, 3 of them the turtle flavor. ? Southern Bay cupcakes stand out from the rest. I love that they are buttery-sweet and not sugary-sweet (if that makes sense). They taste light and fluffy like angelfood cake but are tacky like a moist cornbread. And the icing is thicker but just as smooth as a whipped icing. I will surely be frequenting this establishment since I work 2 minutes away.

Great bakery right by the Sunken Gardens. Really friendly staff and great iced lattes with plenty of Monin brand flavors. Our group got a Cookie Butter, a Raspberry, and a Chocolate Peanut Butter Latte and they were all amazing. From the Pastry cases we tried the Raspberry Oreo Cheese cake, Key lime bar and butterscotch Blondie and got a pot pie and spinach pie to go. Everything was a hit. They have multiple dairy and dairy free milk options. Will definitely be back.

The biggest cinnamon roll I’ve ever had, took 2 to finish it. It’s a cute place that’s clean. The customer service was excellent.

Went in wanting ice cream because that's what they advertised but no ice cream available. Felt bad just leaving so I bought a brownie and cream cheese danish... taste like their a week old. Don't go here expecting anything pleasant

We visited the bakery based on the Sunken Gardens recommendation. We had a great strong cup of fresh coffee and a cinnamon roll-both were delicious! Highly recommend this hidden gem.
The best desserts. They make all in house and are delicious! Every time I go in there, everyone is so nice.

There were so many tasty looking options that it made it so hard to choose. We came home with a cinnamon roll (which they added extra icing to) and it may be one of my all time favorites. My son enjoyed a cupcake. He would not share so I have to assume it was delicious too. The service was kind and warm. I loved the family feel of the place. The interiors were a little lack luster and could use some improvement. I'm definitely considering a birthday cake from here though!

Decent options of pastries and I think the pastries are baked in-house. Comfortable environment and even the water dispenser has filters. Bummer they took away the big outdoor seating, only a small table there.
