Quaint dessert shop located in the heart of a popular part of St Pete for niche shops and cafes. Swah-rey has some truly decadent desserts and drinks. The cupcakes are delicious as well as the other pastries they have available. Recommended to stop by and grab a selection of mini cupcakes and have a seat outside to people watch, always interesting. Sorry no pics, we ate everything because they were delicious. I didn't want to snap a pic of an empty box. Then again, maybe I should have, the box was very nice.?

Store hours are posted wrong. We structured our day around being able to go back since they're closing soon but I guess they've given up on accuracy or making potential customers happy. We wanted to support them one last time but I guess not...

WHAT A JOKE! I stopped by after lunch today for dessert with a guest I had visiting from out of state. The girl behind the counter started ranting about masks as soon as we came in. I think something is wrong with her, she was really erratic and odd. I mean, masks are not a mandate in the state of Florida, or any other state anymore for that matter, they haven't been for a long, long time. Get over it sweetie, or maybe go see a therapist. You're not running a medical or government facility where you can require masks, no one cares enough about your little cupcake shop to run back home, grab a mask and come back. Florida hasn't required masks for a long time, it seems like you're the one that can't keep up with the rules, maybe you should take your business elsewhere, I don't know another food business in St Pete that requires masks...and furthermore, maybe that's why your other store is never open because customers don't want to deal with your harassment. Also, the quick few minutes that we walked in and looked at the case, there wasn't anything really appealing that would make me want to come back. And just some food for thought, I read a response from you to someone else's bad review about your ridiculous mask policy, and you said that you pay your employees to get vaccinations, if you all have vaccinations, what are you worried about? Isn't getting vaccinated supposed to be what protects you? You are an absolute idiot, I would never step foot in this establishment again.

We absolutely loved this place. I am not a big cake eater but I really loved mine.. I had the chocolate black out and my husband had red velvet, chocolate Carmel sea salt, Smores. All were very good but mine was the best. Lol. The place was very clean. I spoke with Shay (not sure if I am spelling it correctly) and she was really sweet and helpful. People are giving reviews based on masks which I think is ridiculous. I appreciate you asking people to wear a mask. If they do not want to, they don't need to come to this establishment. Since we live in a society of free will. The business has just as much right to ask you to wear it as people do if they don't want to.Just go to places that agree with you're beliefs. Thank you for caring for your fellow citizens. We will definitely be back.

I had a face covering on and the girl kicked me out because it wasn’t considered an actual mask even though my mouth and nose were fully covered. There isn’t even a mask mandate in Florida right now. Will not be coming here ever again.

This establishment is not serving those who don’t have a mask. With no mask mandates in place across the county, it seems a bit excessive especially since it’s not a place where large crowds gather. I’ve tried them on occasion before covid and the desserts were just okay. Probably not worth another visit

Absolutely delicious dessert bar selling sweet treats galore and some with an alcohol pairing. Swah rey pronounced "soiree" has an artsy and whimsical decorl which you can see throughout the store. You can't miss this made from scatch treats storefront which looks more like a sweet boutique. They have samples available and their best of the best is layed out all in front you. With a variety of mini cupcakes and cake slices to choose from your sweet treat fulfillments are only a choice away. Having difficulty choosing, buy a variety box of your choice. Dont forget to pair your dessert with a shot of something alcoholic like wine or go the non alcoholic route and choose a coffee. There is so much to choose from here. My personal favorite was the cookie dough and funfetti. But they had cool flavors like strawberry lemonade, pancakes & bacon, and chocolate salted caramel just to name a few. Don't want to give all the sweet surprises away but this dessert bar also sells sugar cookies, pretzels, cream pies, dessert bars and they even have a treat for your 4 legged friends. Service here is also super friendly so that's an extra plus so stop by with your pup and you both get some treats!

I walked in tonight around 7:45pm and the woman working in the store was extremely rude to me. She was yelling at a customer that wasn't wearing a mask. She yelled at me too. The gentleman was asking for a written copy of a scientific medical study that proves that masks actually protect from viruses. He said a medical study that is peer reviewed. She couldn't provide it. I watched the whole thing. Never in my life have I seen a worker treat customers so poorly. Totally rude. I'm telling all my friends to never come here.

It’s been a while since I’ve been to Swah-Rey but every time I’ve been there the desserts have been amazing and the staff have been so welcoming and helpful. I also wanted to leave a review to show my appreciation for a business that cares about public health during this pandemic and is requiring masks in their stores. People might not like it but those of us who have been taking this pandemic seriously, appreciate having places to shop and do business that care about the well being of their staff and customers. Keep it up Swah-Rey! ?

Had a colleague with a birthday and our group forgot to get him a cake, so we popped over to Swag-Rey to get some mini cupcake treats, and I am glad we did! We got a selection of adorable cakes in the 8-pack. There was a large variety from which to choose, the facility was neat and clean, and the paintings on the wall that looked like enlarged Polaroid images gabe the space a cool vibe. Thanks for a good experience!

There are so many delicious cupcake flavors to choose from and the one bite size is just right!! We also got some bars (lemon, s'mores, chocolate caramel shortbread) and actually liked them even more than the cupcakes. Everything was delicious!
