We visited this little establishment for our first date a year ago. So we thought we would go back to celebrate our one year anniversary. The restaurant was not busy and there were some booths available so we asked if we could sit at one of them as opposed to sitting in the middle of the restaurant. We wanted a more intimate table for our evening. The server was not so kind about allowing us to sit at a booth. We told her it was our anniversary. She said nothing about our special day. She let us sit there, but told us, with attitude and loudly, we would have to move if another larger party came in. We agreed. No larger party came in. We thought she was very unkind to us. Never said happy anniversary and took a long time to come ask us for a drink order. Kept looking at us and shooting us looks. Finally came over to ask us for drinks. Told me my drink was being changed out on the tap, fine. Then sent another person over to help us.. She kind of ruined our evening. And definitely ruined our opinion of this place.

REALLY wanted to like this place. First impression was that the place has a stink..ugh. Service was Great and attentive! LOVED the craft beer selection. Food, below average. Ordered zucchini app which was undercooked and needed seasoning, ordered a burger (they will only cook it medium well), it was dry, overcooked and needed seasoning. Oh well. Wanted to support a local. Really surprised by all the great food reviews.

I've been coming to the Wheelhouse since they first opened and I've never had a bad meal! they have great food and an awesome beer selection I love drinking the sours! such a vibe every time you go to the Wheelhouse with awesome skateboard decor and great music selection playing all through the place!

My first time hitting up The Wheelhouse, and wow, what a flippinâ find! Thought it was some new bar in town, but nope, theyâve been low-key killing it for 8 years. Guess itâs one of those âbest-kept local secrets,â and honestly, Iâm here for it.
The whole vibe is so Florida!! Laaaid-back, beachy, and welcoming. Skateboards on the walls, cool lighting, and just the right mix of chill and fun. Brett, the bartender, is a legend. This dude is funny, super welcoming, and has the kind of personality that keeps you coming back and if I can say easy on the eyes!
Beer lovers, take note: their craft beer game is strong, with local gems and all the well know favorites. And the food? Just what you want when youâre a few beers deep. Freaking tasty, satisfying, and no-frills. The crowd was great too, super friendly, felt like I was hanging out with old friends by the end of the night. Canât believe Iâve been sleeping on this place for so long.
I come down to Tampa/Sarasota for a week every year and this place was the best lunch I have had down here. The Club sandwich was very good and we enjoyed their mozza sticks as an appetizer. The ranch sauce is the best I have ever had. Our server Carissa was fantastic and provided some great recommendations. Come by; you wonât be disappointed!
