Been going here for over 20 years. Even with several ownership changes the food has usually been good comfort food. Went in for the usual lunch if chopped steak, mashed potatoes and collards; pretty simple. Ordered our drinks and our meal. Got our drinks and part of the meal-sides were missing. NEVEar had a server come back to bring the rest of our meal, check on our drinks or anything. Finally had to track down another server and ask to get our bill. Unacceptable service and unfortunately after this many years, not going back.

Normally, I drive across the bridge to their Tampa location which is great. I tried the St Pete location and was highly disappointed. The waitress was rude. Food was cold and she made it obvious that she was going to microwave our plates. Tampa location yes. Locally, I'll pass.

I have been watching this diner on social media and finally had time to take my grandson and daughter with me to have breakfast! The parking lot is small but there is plenty of street parking-you may to just walk a little bit (allows more calories at breakfast)! We didn’t have a wait to be seated outside and it was a beautiful morning! Our server Rebecca was amazing-she had a great personality and took good care of us! My daughter ordered an omelette with fruit and toast and it was such a generous portion she shared it with my 2 year old grandson! I had the burrito buster and it was huge but delicious! The prices aren’t bad at all and the menu is huge! It’s definitely worth a repeat visit!

Great food for a great price. Nothing fancy. Servers were friendly, we got our food quickly and the place was very clean. No complaints!
I enjoyed a delicious lobster bisque and a Reuben sandwich on gluten-free bread here for MLK day lunch. Fun, lovely, and well-managed American diner atmosphere that puts you right at ease. Hosting staff sat us promptly on a comfy booth, and we were waited on by a kind and knowledgeable waitress. I am looking forward to coming back.

If there’s a long line and if I’m eating alone, I usually request to eat at bar top or outside patio. 99% of the time I will order my crabby omelette with biscuit and cheese grits. Side of hollandaise for my omelette and side of gravy because I’m a sauce person.
Their coffee doesn’t taste strong but it gets me through the day 🙂

I've enjoyed this place since they reopened after the pandemic however on my last visit the manager(asst mgr?) acted weird when I went payed (touch free save for the tip screen which I set to zero as I had left a healthy cash tip on the table, but apparently after he saw the zero he insisted on printing a receipt for me to sign which I explicitly wrote a zero in lieu of the hefty tip I had already left his behaviour made me suspect tip theft was a possibility, hopefully it was just a one time quirkiness and not something systemic
