Honestly if I could give zero stars I would. I was served a beer over a week expired and questioned why I was given this. The server Patricia brought the receipt to me and balled it in my face. She said she cancelled the charge, then we checked our charges, and she charged us for an expired drink. We talked to the manager Charlie and he was rude beyond all measures to my wife. It seems to me like they are trying to make a penny wherever they can instead of taking care of customers that visit quite often. We asked for a free beer to make it right because we know how hard it is to issue refunds on a POS system on a busy night, because they gave us an expired and they could not even make that right. Unfortunately we love this bar and we will no longer be in attendance (over $5) It makes me wonder how a bar as busy as they should even have a beer that’s expired.

Sexual harassment is okay here, apparently. Absolutely disgusting behavior from patrons and the staff preferred to defend the nasty men making indecent comments and gestures.

Smallest wings I've ever seen. Staff not very friendly. Only bottled water ... Really.

The food here looks pretty basic. I didn’t try it, but I don’t think I was missing out. The drinks are grossly overpriced BUT! The dueling pianos act is truly amazing. Nothing short of musical genius from a couple of these guys. I hope the talent is well paid because it is the reason to come here.

My first experience at rum runners was September 2024. Three nights of non stop music and drink action. Family owns here in Sandestin.
I returned this weekend for two nights of the most epic “personal feeling” music scene you can find.
The waitress is great. Charlie shreds on the guitar like no other. Bartenders are great.
Place is a favorite spot!! They run a tight ship with security, well ran establishment!

Charlie…you rock!

Unsure why the food is down voted. Had the grilled chicken and mash with veggies. Everything tasted good. Child had Alfredo pasta. It was delicious compared to other places. The tuna tartar was also fresh.
Drinks were fine. Live piano music + song requests are accepted. It was a great time!

I have mixed feelings
Pros:
Live music, Good food (quesadilla), pina colodas any frozen drink was good honestly, lively crowd
Cons:
College fight song bidding war went on all night!! I was ok for a while but please move on! We were there to have a good time also! I really was dissapointed when I put in a song request for my sisters birthday, and they NEVER PLAYED IT! We stayed till close and I promise you it was a small crowd left and most were NOT college at that point. I guess if I wasnt paying $100 a song it wasnt getting played. Please respect your entire crowd.

Some of the rudest people I’ve ever met. Service was absolutely terrible, won’t be coming back.

We are mildly disappointed bc we never received our 10% off for our membership as patrons at one of the local resorts. The food was good and we love Rum Runners, it just bummed us out a bit bc we were intentional about choosing to come here. Of course we’ll be back again per usual.. just have to be more aware.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this place. Our food took quite a while to arrive, and when the waitress finally returned, she tapped my son in an unexpectedly rough manner while his head was down, which really caught me off guard. While my husband preferred not to make a scene since we were with our kids, I strongly believe she should never have put her hands on him.
They charge an extra fee if you pay with a card, which we weren’t aware of beforehand. The waitress was not friendly, never apologized for the delay, and the overall service felt very cold. My husband still left a tip, I personally didn’t feel it was deserved.
This was our last night of vacation, and I regret choosing this restaurant to close out our trip. I wish we had read the reviews first.

Quick easy service for a cocktail to go. The blue lagoon frozen drink was delicious.

I had to leave a second review after speaking with the most unprofessional manager on July 17, 2025 5:02 p.m. This establishment decide to charge me $65,330.81, after charging me for a singular water bottle. When I had called the manager I wanted to discuss the matter and he told me it would be his lucky day had this transaction gone through. Potentially stealing from a customer would’ve made this managers day apparently. He also claimed this is no one on his staffs fault, and that it is not HIS problem. He failed to apologize even if it was an accident, which I don’t believe it is. As someone who has had experience as a BARTENDER/ WAITRESS I know this was not an accidental key selection on a POS system. I would like for the owner to reply before legal action is taken place. According to Florida Statutes 812.014, any theft intended over $750 is a felony. Also covered under Florida Statute 77.04 explains attempted theft and it being second degree Grand theft. So to this manager yes this is your problem.
