We enjoyed Island View's Thanksgiving buffet. They offered turkey, ham, and salmon with a variety of sides (vegetables, stuffing, etc) a small salad bar, and a desert table. The sides and salad bar were a bit limited. But when you are serving several hundred at a time, having everything is not possible. That said, it was well worth the price. We did not prepare it, serve it, or clean up after it. The wait staff were very cordial. A fridnely, family atmosphere was created in a facility designed for large events. We will visit the restaurant again.

I attended a birthday party in the event room last year and it was great! I also had a birthday dinner there this year and the food was really good!

It was horrible. I ordered the taco salad and they brought it to me cold. My friend sent it back and they brought it back cold. The cheese wasn't even melting (either plate). And then a couple minutes later my stomach started hurting and I ended up throwing up in the bathroom. I'm never going back.

The hostess was also working the bar. Had to wait for her to finish serving at bar. Food was terrible! Cold and not prepared properly. New waiter had a hard time with orders.( no help from trainer)

The food and food service was very good. Food is fair priced but beer is on the pricey side. Will go back but it would not be a regular stop.

Island View welcomed my childhood cousin and I warmly as we met to eat lunch and catch up on one another’s lives after having not seen each other since the 1980’s. While looking online for a halfway point between Kissimmee and Fort Lauderdale, my husband found their menu offered a variety of choices at reasonable prices and the photos of the restaurant inviting for conversation. Island View exceeded our hopes. The hostess and waitress were gracious especially finding out the purpose of our meeting there. After a delicious and memory-filled four hour lunch, we left feeling as if we had visited in one or other’s home.
Thank you, for making us feel welcome!
God bless you!

I got the steak quesadilla which turned out to be greasy hamburger instead of steak and half of it was onions. I couldn’t even eat it!!

Great place to spend an evening with friends. Bartenders and wait staff are the best.

The blood orange margarita is the best item on the menu.
Salmon dinner was ok.
Chicken marsala was awful.
There wasn't any marsala sauce. When the waitress finally came by 20 minutes later, we told her. Her comment was someone else had mentioned that and walked away from the table.

Nice place to celebrate my birthday with girlfriends. Not too crowded during lunch hour. I enjoyed the 1/2 chicken salad (w/ walnuts) on wheat with a cup of chicken wild rice soup.
