We had dined at this restaurant once before. The food was very good then. The portions were good the last time. This time we were very disappointed. I had ordered the same thing. It was nothing like the last time. The portions were much smaller with the exception of the white rice. The food was not as good. Very disappointed.

Dined here twice & both experiences were excellent!! The ambience is everything & then there’s the FOOD! We live over an our away & plan to travel to dine here regularly because we already have our favorites! Highly recommend the sandwiches & desserts ! Thanks also to HGTV for putting this rural historic town on the map properly! Great service always!
The Cuban cafecito is gooood, I reallyn like it all.
Stop by Sophie's Cafe 6/23/25 after a doctor's appointment I had the fried pork chunks. I actually was expecting better food. The food seemed like it was maybe made the day before and reheated. My plantains were cold in the middle and the pork was not the typical fried pork chunks I'm used to. I Lived in Broward and Dade county and the Cuban food there is very good and authentic. The best part of my meal was the black beans. I did have some pastries ,they were good. My waitress was very nice and the service was good. Kind of disappointed, I was really looking forward to the food
Service was terrible and there were so many flies we couldn’t even enjoy our food.
Stopped for lunch to see the changes made by Ben and Erin and HGTV, it is so beautiful! My mother-in-law lived in this town for 15 years and driving around the circle was so heartbreaking because most of the buildings were empty.
I had the half Cuban sandwich ( it's in 2 pieces) and not only huge but so delicious! I also had a large house salad. When I left I also got 3 slices of their strawberry cheesecake which was also very delicious! I took two of the slices to family in the area. For a Monday they were very busy and you go inside to put your name on the waiting list, the food is worth the wait which isn't very long. Even the ladies room had a lemony citrus smell! I highly recommend trying this place out!
Best Cuban food, not to mention the PASTERIES❤️
Good food and service. Everyone there is very nice and efficient.
I was visiting Sebring for work and was told that this place had the best empanadillas de pizza y de carne. I came in about 10:30 am and the place was pretty busy. I had to wait a bit but got my empanadillas. The menus looked very interesting, next time will try the Cuban sandwich. But, back to the empanadillas. The meat one was so flavorful, it reminded me of back home. The pizza one was a disappointment. I cut it in 1/2, one side had no filling whatsoever, didn’t even looked like the filling touch that side and was lacking the flavor that made them a hit when I was younger. For them both I paid almost $7, not too bad.
I will be back for that Cuban sandwich.
We are from Raleigh N.C. and so far we have been to Sebring 2 times in one month. Out of those 2 times we have been to Sofie's 3 times, that alone shows how much we enjoyed there food and Pastries. I'm due to return this coming Thursday the 26 and I will definitely go again. They have an extended menu and everything that we have ordered has been delicious. I highly recommend it if you like Cuban food, and there most delicious Pastries.

Very nice little restaurant with excellent food and service.❤
Always feels like family. Fabulous. Food. Friends. Come for coffee and treat or full meal. All good!
I really love this place. It’s one of my go to spots. I get Sophie’s almost every week. I love the new location it brings a young hip vibe to Sebring. It’s so amazing to see it thriving. Aside from the atmosphere and hoe beautiful the building is in itself. The food is amazing. Worth the trip , the drive and the wait !!!
I recently visited Sophie's Cafe in downtown Sebring, and I was thoroughly impressed! The Cuban sandwich I ordered was hands-down the best I've had outside of Havana - the flavors were perfectly balanced, and the quality was top-notch. My kids enjoyed their fajitas immensely, and I was impressed by the generous serving size. But the real showstopper was the cherry pastry - it was truly to die for! The combination of flavors and textures was absolute perfection. Overall, I highly recommend Sophie's Cafe for a delicious and satisfying meal. Five stars, without a doubt!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Sophie’s Cafe is an absolute gem! Every visit feels like a special treat. The menu offers a fantastic variety of delicious options, and I’ve never been disappointed. The coffee is always perfectly brewed, and their pastries are to die for. I LOVE their breakfast sandwiches! The cozy atmosphere makes it a perfect spot to relax or catch up with friends. One of my first dates with my partner was there! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, which adds to the welcoming vibe. If you’re looking for a delightful dining experience, I highly recommend stopping by Sophie’s Cafe!
