Jimmy's Sushi Bar and Japanese Restaurant

Jimmy’s is consistently the best sushi in the St Petersburg area. He has a great staff and it has a very welcoming atmosphere. We have been going here for over 15 years and still look forward to our next visit. Sushi is fresh and restaurant is very clean!

Deluxe rainbow roll was disappointing. Plenty of asparagus inside the rolls with paper thin sushi on top. Not worth $14.99.

Been eating here regularly for several years and I love this place! Such high quality sushi for a reasonable price and they have a huge menu. My favorite are the eel handroll and spicy scallops handroll.

Creative sushi choices with a lot to choose from. There’s something for everyone. The service was very friendly and attentive. I think this was the fastest I have gotten food ever at a restaurant. I think each thing took less than 5 minutes. Great experience!

Nice place to visit, sincere and responsive servers, tasty and fresh food. I worked in this place for several months and I know this place a lot not only as a place to eat but also as a team and management. I am grateful to this place for the experience and for a delicious dinner. I do not wish anyone to work in this place with such a rotten management, but my colleagues there are very nice.

I expected the sushi to be of the quality I found while living in Japan. The spicy tuna roll was too pasty and mushy and wrong color. I was able to eat only 2 out of 8 pieces, and those were hard to swallow. The yellowtail was too fatty. The only thing that was ok was the shrimp sushi and the Kirin Ichiban beer. Then when I didn’t eat even half of the food I ordered and I told them I didn’t want to take a box because I didn’t like it, they didn’t care. They come by and say everything ok? And don’t let you answer.
I had heard they are from Japan but that’s not the sort of treatment you’d ever get in Japan. So if you’re looking for a taste from Japan, this isn’t the place. It just made me miss Japan all the more.

Parking: There are not enough spaces in the front and back to accommodate the number of guests they can seat.

Jimmy's is our favorite place to celebrate special occasions. I think our 13 year old was there 3 times on his birthday week! Sushi is always fresh and flavorful. Service is great. Jimmy makes us feel like family. Highly recommend!

We didn't get to actually stay and sit down and eat because our daughter was throwing a tantrum. But the time that we were in there it was really nice it really sweet. We got our food to go and had no problem switching from dining in to take out. The food was great. There's this one roll, I don't know what it's called because my husband was the one that ordered for us, but it's a hollowed out cucumber moons with I think crab inside it. It was my favorite and so refreshing.
