I’m not sure how I’ve traveled the entire United States (and even lived in Florida for some time) and have never - until this day - set foot in a Waffle House. The anticipation, the anxiety, the excitement, of going into an infamous Waffle House caused some emotional whiplash.
I ordered the chocolate chip waffles and they were amazing! It’s a pretty good portion size (actually better than what I usually receive at breakfast places which is far more food than I can ever -or should ever- eat). The waffle was the size of the plate, the plate was on the medium size. The price is out of this world reasonable. In my estimation, the value matches the price tag.
The waitress Deanna at the Seminole FL location was an absolute gem and that woman deserves a raise.

We love going to the WaffleHouse and have enjoyed this location for the last 5 years. Today we opened the door to go in and were blasted with loud music. So loud it felt like we were entering a night club. We sat down hoping for the best and requested they turn down the music. The waitress went to check with someone and came back telling us to try another table. The volume is the same throughout the open dining area

Not bad. The waffle and bacon were great, I would definitely pay extra for real maple syrup though. Our server said lots of people ask for it or bring in their own. Seems like an easy money maker. No real butter either, just margarine. My only real complaint was that we went there with our kids, 6 of us total so we had to sit at two adjoining tables but the tables were in different assigned areas for the servers so they had to do two separate checks, two tips etc. That seemed pretty dumb and was a bit annoying to have to pay in two transactions for one family.
