The food is very authentic and very delicious! The best and I mean the very best refried beans we have ever eaten! I’d go just for the beans lol! The family and staff are so friendly and the service was excellent! I’m so excited we have a new restaurant on the north side of town! I highly recommend having breakfast, lunch and dinner here!

I have been going to this place for close to an year now. very friendly people. but their tamales are not consistent. sometimes too much butter on them specially on the cheese. as they gotten busier, their tamales have become smaller too ?well, still tasty though ..

Yes, folks, that’s all it costs for a greasy bag of hot porras and cup of thick chocolate. The place is tiny but you are elbow to elbow with locals. They tell you to experience Spain you have to find an authentic old man bar. Well, this is an old man churrería and I am lucky to have found it. The good: Unbeatable price for churros, fast service, local flavor. Menu is posted on the wall. You learn all the gossip just sitting there, haha. I went a few minutes after opening and 3/4 stools were taken. This is the place. The bad: It does not have much counter space, but you can always take it to go. Tip: Get some freshly fried chips (patatas fritas/crisps) and dip them in the chocolate, yum! Pass this on the way to the old fort walls, which few tourists visit.

Our family eat here on special occasions. We love it here. We have also ordered take out. They give you enough food for an army even if you order just 2 servings. Everything is good. Never had a bad meal from La Esperanza.

We called ahead to reserve a table and were happy we did. When we arrived, the restaurant was full, with people waiting. The hostess checked our reservation and seated us immediately. Very nice! Our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious, far better than the average Mexican restaurant.
