This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had, to the point that it was almost comical how poorly it was handled.

We joined the online waitlist and were quoted a 15–20 minute wait. When we arrived, we were told they couldn’t seat us yet due to being short-staffed and backed up in the kitchen, and that they didn’t want to seat tables only for guests to wait 45 minutes for food. We appreciated the explanation and agreed to wait. We were a group of four adults and two young toddlers, and it was unusually cold outside.

After waiting another 30 min, we were told we were next in line. Shortly after, another group of 4 adults complained about being removed from the list, and the hostess skipped us entirely and seated them first — inside, which is what we had been waiting for with two cold, hungry kids.

After nearly an hour, we were told it would be another 15 minutes, followed by the admission that food would still take about 45 minutes once seated. That directly contradicted the original reason we weren’t seated earlier and made it clear we had waited all that time for nothing. Had they been honest from the beginning, we would have gone elsewhere immediately. To top it off, they said that the table was probably going to be outside since all the tables inside were filled already after giving away our table to the group that complained.

What made this truly unacceptable was the complete lack of care or genuine apology. When we raised concerns, we were brushed off and treated as if it didn’t matter at all. It was actually shocking how little self awareness they had in the entire situation.

We ended up going across the street to Village Café, where we were seated quickly and had excellent food and service. Their experience was five-star and would recommend going there over this place.

I would give zero stars for this place though if that were an option.

Food was decent but service wasn't up to par. Arrived at 8:15 and plenty of tables open but the hostess and two waitresses were discussing something at the hotess stand and kept us standing there for 15 min. All tree walked off and left us standing there without acknowledging us. Finally got seated and the waitress brought the wrong order for my wife after a 25 min wait (after ordering) for food. Foor the price and wait I would have expected more.

Terrible management of wait list for guests. One woman taking names, clearing tables and forgetting to call names adding to the long wait time. Not worth the time wasted on poor management. Skip this place and find one of many others available on the Key

Server was nice, but the food took about 1 hour to come out, and it was only a BLT sandwich and omelette. The BLT sandwich was cold and meh. The beignets were amazing and delicious! The hot chocolate was meh, although the whipped cream was really good. Would not return, but might order some beignets to go.

Anna was my server and she is without a doubt the nicest, hardest worker I have ever experienced. Kudos to Broken Egg having her there, she makes the place far better.

Had the hashbrown Benedict and it tasted sour almost inedible. Idk why there would be an over powering vinegar taste to hashbrowns but it was disgusting.

Nice place with good service. Hash Brown Benedict wasn’t great though. It was a bit too salty, hash brown was more burnt than crispy and country potatoes were dry and old, definitely not fresh. My husband wasn’t excited about his French toast either. The kitchen staff has definitely some things to work on.

Absolutely delicious food and attentive / friendly service. The outside seats are rusted and need replacing. They need to serve fresh butter not the little packets that probably have preservatives. Otherwise a great place to have a delicious breakfast!!

Very nice place for breakfast or lunch served anytime. Ample seating inside and outside. George was a good server and attentive. Very good options and unique menu options. The syrup was warm which was a nice touch. Prices fair and reasonable.
