A group of six of us who visit regularly to Siesta Key went tonight to The Cottage for dinner. We were happy to wait for over an hour as we had heard good things from friends. Initially our meal started great, food was quick and delicious but our server was very poor. She was absent most of our meal, even asked another server to ask her to come over and refill our water and never saw her. We asked to speak to the manager and let him know about the poor service despite the great food. While walking out I walked right by he waitress and they were complaining to her fellow coworkers about the situation. We asked to speak to the manager again - explaining that what she could of took as a learning moment from her manager, she made worse. The lack of accountability and making it right by her and the manager was very disappointing. We won't be back with how we were treated during our meal and by how the waitress and management failed to handle the situation once brought to their attention. There was no offer to compensate our meal or provide any future gift certificate to try them again. Service is an important part of the experience. Talking negative about customers to other wait staff should not ever be tolerated. Very disappointing as we regularly are in Siesta Key along with our family.

Third visit. The appetizers to the entrees were amazing…the Cottage knocked it out of the park…again. After three visits in 2 years, this is my favorite in Siesta Key!

First time here , Attentive Staff ,Food was presented well and Tasty,The only complaint was it was a chilly / windy day and they would not close the doors, when asked because they said people would think they were closed.

Joe and Chad were amazing tonight behind the bar! The Cottage was totally slammed but they didn’t miss a beat. We got the cauliflower appetizer which was recommended by other guests. It did not disappoint. Then we got the Billion dollar burger and grouper sandwich. Everything was perfect. Thank you for another lovely evening on the Key!
We went back to find Chad and Lizard behind the bar and and electric violinist playing great music. We had the Billion dollar burger and grouper sandwich again. Another great evening!

Lobster bisque was hands down the best we’ve had and you definitely want more! The hummus was flavorful, fresh and delicious. Billionaire Burger was an explosion of flavor and forbidden salmon delivered and rounded out our evening. People watching available from front porch seating. 5 star experience.

The Cottage has a fun vibe with live entertainment. Good food and drinks and just an all around solid atmosphere where you’re almost guaranteed to have a great experience. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu but their stand out must try is the lobster bisque. The burgers are also excellent.
Great food and drinks. Service is always on point. The Cottage is always a go to spot when we're on Siesta Key. Highly recommend 👌

I really wish I would’ve gone to this restaurant the first night of my vacation rather than the last, they really blow all of the other spots out of the water in terms of food quality, flavor, and service. The wagyu beef tapa, the anticucho, was a Peruvian style dish with melt in your mouth steak. The tempura shrimp were also delicious. Big giant prawns in light batter with a sweet and tangy sauce over a light refreshing coleslaw. Joe and Chad were warm and inviting and easy to chat with. I’ll be back to the area just to visit the cottage again (:

Locals and we love this place. Quaint, cozy dining, yet live music tucked in the back with outdoor seating and incredible food. The new GM Tiphanie went above and beyond to make our occasion even more special.
