We had 3 separate locals recommend this place to us and it did not disappoint! The service was great, food was delicious. It seemed to be a favorite among locals judging by the crowd. The host (who may have been an owner) even followed is outside to make sure we had a great meal and to wish us well on our way.
We vacation in this area on a yearly basis and we always eat here at least twice. We were initially drawn in for the oysters and the peel 'n eat shrimp. Both are excellent! But we also enjoy the gumbo, clam chowder, crab legs, seafood platters. In other words, never had anything bad on the menu. Great beer selection also! Tried PJ's Oyster Bar for the first time for dinner. A very busy restaurant with a bar area and tables/booths reminiscent of the 1960's. Service was slow at best, but friendly. Decent seafood/steak menu. Portions are a tad skimpy, but the food is good. Might try again.
