Taco Genius

The service was really bad today. Waited 30 min for a burrito. Had to ask for my food several times. Didn't get everything at the same time. I even had to ask for my sodas. Not very good experience there.

I was with a friend going to see the Eras movie and we saw Taco Genius close by. We stopped and ordered a burrito and a custom rice bowl. OH my goodness!!! The food was amazing and so was the service. There were only two individuals running the place: Aiden and Von. Between the two the experience was as good as it gets. I almost never post about places I eat, but this was so good I had to.

Perhaps we went on the wrong day. Only one person working in the entire restaurant. Took 15 minutes to take order, another 20 to get food. At least 4-5 things were wrong even though it was all written down. Limited options for vegetarians. And the tortilla chips were inexcusably bad, just deep fried. I feel bad for the one worker but wouldn’t return for multiple reasons. For $50 for a couple burritos with 3-4 ingredients, head to any other place.

Awesome food and great service! They have a “sampler” option that allows you to get a nacho and a taco. Shrimp, chicken, ground beef - they were all full of flavor and very filling. Wish they had a restaurant in Houston, Texas!

Employees are friendly and patient, restaurant is clean and the food is very good. I recommend the shrimp tacos and if you want chicken, get a burrito.

Went to eat here at Taco Genius and the food was absolutely amazing. Javon did a fantastic job as these were the best tacos we have ever eaten anywhere. This is the best gem in the whole entire Sunset Place. If you are in the area grab some Tacos from Taco Genius and be amazed.

Great food! I got the loaded quesadilla and the stake tacos and they were to die for! Great deal for the price! We went by twice in one day and got amazing costumer service from the GM even though he was the only one working! Great place and totally recommend!

Food was surprisingly yummy. Not just another taco place. It's all about their special sauce. Very fresh and "J" gave the best service with a SMILE! Very genuinely nice staff. Definitely stop by for a bite if you are at Sunset Place.

Kid-friendliness: We were a large group with kids and they have wall bench seating which was comfortable in keeping the kids together.

Fantastic food made with love!The pulled pork is phenomenal, as are the salad and bowl. My only problem is that I want to order everything!

My wife and I came here for a quick meal on Friday evening. The gentleman behind the counter was very friendly and joked with us. He made good suggestions about what to order. We sat outside and he brought our food out a short while later. It was very fresh and tasted great. He came out later to collect the plastic trays that the food came in and asked how we enjoyed our food. I would highly recommend this restaurant for a quick casual meal.

Went there a few weeks ago, and I promised my man Daniel I'd write a review. I keep thinking about those tacos, and it would be a disservice to my man who put the most important ingredient into making those tacos BOMB: Love. Need to go back soon, and I'm looking forward to some more of that special ingredient. Thanks Daniel for giving me and my girl a good memory.

The food was fresh and delicious. I enjoyed everything! The Sampler included a taco and nachos and it was very satisfying. The Braised Steak Quesadilla was perfectly prepared and tasty. I will definitely return.

Well hidden in the the bowels of Sunset Place it was hard to find and, once located, did not have practical seating nor appealing food. On a Saturday night our table was the only one occupied. The closest to Mexico any of the employees had been is probably South Miami. Not even Mexican backgroud music but some kind of loud hip hop which made conversing difficult.

I went with my friend before and after painting some pottery. The food was absolutely amazing! The GM was very friendly and showed great hospitality and care towards us and other customers. Had everything running smoothly, even as he worked alone all day. From taking orders, cooking, and personally delivering the food to you. He was also very considerate. Will definitely visit again when in the area! :)
