Gateway Subs

My son, mom and I stopped in for an early dinner after my son's basketball game. This was our 1st time here and we absolutely loved the food. I highly recommend the "Cool ranch rider" has a nice kick to it the only thing I did differently was ranch instead of mayo and banana peppers instead of hot peppers. My son had the "Turkey bacon" minus onion and tomato as well as sub the mayo for ranch he absolutely loved it!! My mom got the "Roast Beast" loved hers as well!! We decided to try the Lemon Blueberry cheesecake, it too was delicious!! We will definitely be back!! The ladies that helped us with our order were super sweet and made us feel very welcomed!! Loved the vibe. Reggae music playing as well, just overall a great place!! We were at the 3rd Avenue location for reference!!

First time trying Gateway Subs today. We went to the new Ellenton location. Friendly staff and everything was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Great little place!

So so delicious, ever since I tried this place I have been craving their Hail Mary wrap. Yes there are many sub shops but this one just does it up, I really enjoy that. They already know their customers want chips on their sandwich. They elevate these things to the max and it’s definitely worth checking out at least once to see if you like it which I’m sure you will. 10 out of 10, and what I have here is a half eaten hail Caesar wrap, it’s nice and light and healthy and good. The pricing is also pretty fair. This specific sandwich is $9.50 plus a tip as I added on at the end. But I think for the amount of sandwich that you get and the other ones, and how bulky they are, it’s totally worth

I can’t say enough good things about Gateway Subs. I have never encountered friendlier staff. We have been to multiple locations and Pasadena is our favorite. You could not go wrong with anything on the menu. The Juicy Tree Climber is the best! If you want to laugh follow them on instagram. Keep up the amazing work!

Amazing place! My brother recommended this place years ago. Now we have been 5 plus times in less than 6 months. Have recommended this place to many friends who have come in and love it better than a Pub Sub! Each time we have tried different items since the menu is diverse and they have monthly specialty items. The cheesecake is a must! $3 a slice , monthly flavors. The Juciey Tree Climber , the Bison Meatball ( Mondays - they run out fast!!!) , Spicy Melange , Cool Ranch Rider all amazing! The service is great! Have seen Peter twice now and if he’s not a manager or an owner he should be one! His service and recommendations are awesome! He’s very nice and professional! Ask for Peter! We have only been to the Pasadena location and honestly we’ve been so happy with it we want to continue to support!

Best subs in all of St.Pete without question. Their spice melange and cool ranch rider are two of the best subs I’ve ever tasted anywhere in my life.

Best sub I have ever tasted! Had an Italian sub, what great flavor! Filled with many different meats and vegetables. Great staff, smiling, talkative, polite. Would highly recommend!

(Updated to 5 stars due to the incredible customer service below. Makes up for the single day of bad service 10x over) I’ve been to gateway subs multiple times previously with quick service and absolutely delicious subs but I was severely disappointed today at the Pasadena location. I ran in after the beach at around 3:45pm and there were 2 employees and 3 other people who had been waiting a while for their subs. I was the only person who hadn’t yet ordered food yet it took over 7 minutes to even place my order. I was lenient there as they said they were completing some online orders (yet didn’t finish them). Finally I ordered the cool ranch rider and the hail ceaser and it took them over 15 minutes to make these sandwiches (I was in the place for over 25 minutes). The chicken for the ceasar wrap was still frozen and he kept pouring olive oil on it and putting it in the oven to defrost it (adding a ton of calories) and also asked me if I wanted mayo or ranch on my ceasar wrap? Just odd. In addition they made essentially the entire cool ranch rider sub and then at the end say they don’t have any of the garlic buffalo sauce (which makes the sandwich) and then I get home and the sub is also missing the Doritos which also is an essential part of the sub. There were a total of 3 bags of chips on display to get with your sub and the whole place just seemed extremely underprepared for customers and like the employees were in left field without a glove. I really love gateway subs but today was a terrible experience.
