Today, after visiting your pizzeria, I was very disappointed!
First of all, we did not like the food and asked to replace the wrap with a salad because it tasted like it had come straight from the freezer and was too spicy. The waitress said she could give us a discount instead of replacing the dish with a simple salad because there was no manager on duty (which is strange — how is there no manager on shift?).
In addition, I asked to charge my phone and gave them my charger. When I picked up my phone, I said, “I appreciate it,” but another waitress started loudly telling our waitress, in front of all the guests, that I didn’t even say thank you!!! So I repeated myself “I Appreciate it” And she said it’s our private conversation!!” How is that possible??? I was humiliated in front of everyone!
So if you believe you need customers, you should replace your waitstaff! I have never experienced anything like this before! I am very upset!

My wife, daughter, and I were visiting St. Augustine for a short getaway and were excited to try Carmelo’s Pizzeria after several friends recommended it for their huge slices. I personally really enjoyed my pizza — the slice I had was delicious.
Unfortunately, my wife and daughter were not happy with one of the items they ordered. When they shared their concerns with me, I brought it to Addison’s attention and politely asked if we could possibly exchange it for a different item. Instead of trying to resolve the issue, I was met with several interrogating questions, which made the situation uncomfortable.
I requested an antipasto salad as a replacement, but this also became a point of contention. I was told the uneaten item could not be removed from the receipt because there was no manager present, and that we would still need to pay for it. In my experience running a business, when a customer is dissatisfied with a dish, the best approach is to try to make it right. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case here.
While the pizza itself was good, the customer service left us disappointed. We won’t be returning.

This place is simple inside at the carryout section, you're not meant to stay and eat there, but they have a separate sit down section that looked better. Service was average and the girl was friendly and stayed chill with all the activity. As far as the pizza, one of the things I look for is whether the crust is delicious. The rest of the ingredients seemed fine, average. This crust is basically the same as most places in the US. Tastes stale, like cardboard or wood, with no flavor, and it's rubbery and overly chewy or hard when it's not fresh, and you usually have a hard time eating it unless they give you dipping sauce. I had to throw away the last part of it because it was unbearable to eat by itself. I only had a slice to go and the peanut butter pie (homemade), which was good. So my issue isn't that the pizza wasn't fresh, it's the recipe they use for it. Unless they change it I definitely won't be eating here again. Bronx is the only pizza I've had in town worth eating, so if Carmelo's could compete with that, I'd be happy to come back.

A cute little spot in St. Augustine. Liked how we can order slices instead of a whole pizza. Got to try different pizza's because they sell them by the slice. We tried the garlic knots, pepperoni and Carmelo's pizza but stuffed and regular. Awesome service and quiet atmosphere.

I ordered three subs two out of the three subs were incorrect. One sub asked for extra mayonnaise we got no mayonnaise at all. One was a turkey sub in which we asked for extra peppers and extra pickles. As you can see, there’s barely anything actually on the sandwich. The lady at the counter was so rude to me when I told her I didn’t have my cheddar broccoli bites. I clearly checked all of my boxes at the counter. She was so offended that she double checked for me. Gave me an attitude and threw my stuff on the counter. Didn’t even say sorry or anything. I spent $47 on food here just for it to be wrong and to be treated like crap. WILL NOT BE BACK.
