Out of all the places in St. Augustine, I would skip this one. Portion sizes were not equivalent to the price, terrible service, rude waitstaff, and they didn’t not inform us they were subbing our order items. It was only mentioned once we made a comment. Your money is better off somewhere else.

We were excited to visit Sangrias Wine and Tapas Bar expecting authentic Spanish tapas, but I was disappointed to find none on the menu. Instead, they offered items like burritos, which felt out of place for a restaurant claiming to be Spanish. While Mexican food is influenced by Spanish cuisine, it’s important to recognize that every country and culture, including Spain and Latin America, has its own distinct gastronomy. I don’t understand why there’s always a need to include burritos as part of ‘Spanish’ food in general—it misrepresents the diversity of these cuisines. On top of that, they offered a mix of American and Greek options, but none of the traditional Spanish dishes like paella, Serrano ham, bellota ibérico ham, patatas bravas, etc which are much more authentic to the gastronomy of Spain. I believe they should consider renaming the restaurant or re-evaluating their menu to better reflect the offerings and avoid misleading expectations. Overall, the experience didn’t meet my expectations for an authentic Spanish restaurant, As someone familiar with Spanish food.

Not typical to.provide negative reviews but this place lacks thoroughly. In St Augustine for christmas and our wedding anniversary. Stopped in for drinks and was promptly told have a seat and someone would be with us. Additionally they were short staffed and please be patient. Our party took a seat and although 20 minutes had passed, it was no issue due to them being short staffed. Went to ask about service they looked at my sister in law like she was stupid. Their response we're closed come back when the sign says open. Pathetic customer service and completely unprofessional......

Im going to write this in english and Spanish DON’T EAT HERE its a scam there is little to no food options the food is DISGUSTING there is nothing Spanish about it don't eat here the chicken burrito tasted under done un seasoned and flavorless don’t eat here the best food item is the Tostito’s not worth 86$

On 12/20/25 we go in with 7 people, 6 adults 1 kid, and they refused to serve us because it was more than 6 people. It was around 115pm with no one in the place. We offered to split up 5 and 2 or 4 and 3 and still got told no. Really odd. Oh well, they missed out on about $200 because we can drink! Prohibition Kitchen gladly took us in!

We were having a pleasant time on the balcony when the owner came up and started being very rude to our grandma because she was blocking the fire lane. Our grandma moved attentively but the owner handled it terribly. She was rude and truly ruined our experience here. We have come here multiple times before and never had a problem, but after today, this will be our last time at this establishment. Our server, Kristin, was awesome and I feel bad that she was to work under such a terrible boss. We understood the problem and were happy to obliged, but the owner could have handled the situation in a respectful way. The food and drinks also were just okay. Nothing really stood out here except the horrible experience the owner provided.

Food was so-so but certainly not worth the price. Kristin, our waitress, was nice. Never encountered an owner with such horrendous people skills. There are many better establishments in St Augustine. FIND ONE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS ONE. Unless you like being treated rudely. If that is the case this is your place! Have come here whenever family is in town for drinks (usually 5-6 times/year). Never again

They sat us and then let us order sodas thennnnnn came back and said that we could not order food that the kitchen it’s too busy. The place was dead. When we said we were kind of upset because we wanted to order food they should’ve told us that. She said nothing.

We walked in at 9:25 and upon walking in a waitress stared me down, thinking maybe she just had a bad day me and my 5 friends went into the bar and then got told by the bartender they had nothing available..? When they were open for 1.5 hours. Maybe change your times if you're not open that late. Back to the bartender we tried to sit down before she stopped us (they had 2 tables next to each other that could fit 6 people). Give them a raise or teach them about hospitality.

All I have to say is the bar back behind the counter, needs an attitude check. We walk in and wait to see if anyone will seat us, no staff acknowledges us. We see a table/booth for 6, go to sit down, and the bar back immediately gives attitude asking “how many?” We tell her six and she shakes her head with a sassy face saying she doesn’t have room for us. No room? Totally fine. Sass? Totally uncalled for.
