Casa Maria Authentic Mexican Restaurant

The food was great and the people very helpful and courteous. We love this restaurant!

It's now taco libre. Go to cantina Louie instead. They charge for sides that come with the meal at cantina Louie. The food is not as good and service was very slow.

This is no longer Casa Maria. It is now "Taco Libre." Great fresh Mexican fare at very reasonable prices!

What a diamond in the rough! Hubby and I were passing through St. Augustine for a day/night/morning on our way from our home in South Florida to vacation in South Carolina. We passed this in a shopping center just south of our hotel (check out my review on that, Guy Harvey Beach Resort, St. Augustine Beach) and I wondered. The hotel has a restaurant that got good reviews but upon arriving there I learned the torrential rain (that literally put a damper on our vision of walking the beach, watching the sun set and rise) was flooded. So after relaxing a bit we went to Casa Maria... THANK YOU MOTHER NATURE! The space is big and colorful, not cozy, but the menu, WOW! I’ve eaten Mexican in many parts of the country and this place is at the top of the list. They have a section of the menu called ‘three for three’... I felt like a tostada (flat hard tortilla, like an open face crispy taco) but not with beef as described; waitress said no problem, pick any protein you like. Then two pages over there were a la carte tacos... I saw ‘ceviche’ and she said I could add two of those in to make 3, or anything really on the menu. I did one flour soft ceviche and one soft corn ceviche to off-set the hard tostada... They were all delicious but the ceviche was OUTSTANDING! The place is very unassuming but what a treat on a rainy night in St. Augustine beach when our initial plans fell through.

We went for the first time last night and the food is fantastic. I can’t believe we haven’t been here before. Casa Maria is now our favorite spot in town and we will be back many times. They have the best food and friendly staff. I love the decor also. You feel like you are transported out of St. Augustine and on a cozy vacation. This was the perfect spot for the Christmas Party!

Great food in a semi hidden area. I ordered the fajitas and was not disappointed at all. I will gladly be back again soon.

This was the best food and service experience that I've had in my two years visiting St. Augustine Beach. Our server was Andrea she was nice and checked on us constitently. As soon as we were seated we received warm chips and salsa. Delicous and authentic. Our appetizer was fried jalapenos, perfect flavor and cripsy. We ordered a Chicken Fajita Quesadilla and California burrito (10 in). Everything was delicious, hot, and authentic. Oh yeah, the Mojito was great as well. Everything was priced very well. All of that and we spent 31$. Highly recommended.

I love this place. The food is sooo good. I’ve ordered many different items off th menu but now almost slays order the same thing..,the Burrito Especial -1 The marinade is wonderful. And of course there’s always the 2 for 1 margaritas!

The food was good and the service was ok. The interior could use a little updating and repair.

Service was exceptionally fast and the waitress was friendly and attentive. Really good food and prices, we will be going back.
