It was a breakfast šŸ˜ž. First we were waiting 15 min to be seated. Although the restaurant was almost empty. Then we were waiting a menu for 15 min more. Then our drinks 15 min more. At last we have our food. Just an hour later. Pancakes for my 8 year old son was inedible at all. My wrap was fine but I start eating my fruit salad. I eat it almost a third and here it comes. A hair. A nice brown hair in my salad. It was a top of my indignation and disappointment. I’ll never visit this place again.

Had dinner here Friday night, Marc was very friendly and hustled! Fast service and the fish and chips were great. Good experience overall.

Breakfast the next morning: not so much. It does not appear there is any kind of leadership keeping people motivated. Seems there was zero organization and staff not meshing well. Hostess also clearing tables? Clearly short staffed. Josephine (who was very friendly) finally came over to help us after a solid 10+ minute wait. Seemed to take a while just for two cups of coffee and an OJ. Food came out much quicker. Her omelet was quite runny with oil, she didn’t eat it. My pancakes were good until I was done and I noticed two hair under it! Served was modified and took $5 off the bill.

Seems from the reviews that dinner may be the better option here.

An award winning experience.

I’ve eaten breakfast all over the world, in some of the finest hotels. But nothing compared to our breakfast experience at Santiago’s.

A slight wait to be seated, but not a problem. We were seated outside by the hostess(1).

We waited a few minutes whilst one server(2)passed us by to attend to another table. A few minutes later and another server(3) attended another table who had been seated after us.

After waiting for another few minutes I returned to the hostess, who apologized and said a server would be with us shortly.

A few minutes later, we had a server(4) to take our order. She apologized for us being overlooked and promised we would be taken care of. A few minutes later she returned with our juice and coffee. Then we never saw her again 😳

Our food did not arrive for more than 15 minutes and when it did it was delivered by another wait person(5) who shouted out ā€œwho ordered the ….ā€ as she didn’t know which table to deliver the food to.

The food was average, not terrible, not great, a 5/10.

We never had anyone check on our food or top up our coffee. We had to ā€˜grab’ the attention of the hostess who was now clearing tables and topping up coffee.

When we’d finished our food we sat and waited and waited and waited. Eventually getting the attention of another server(6) to ask for our check, only to be TOLD … ā€œI’m not your server, only your server can give you your checkā€. To which I replied ā€œI don’t think anyone in the restaurant knows who our server isā€. She grumbled and mumbled and then did return with our check. I decided to pay at the front desk otherwise I’m sure we would have waited for another server …. YES .. NUMBER 8 !

So what award did this restaurant deserve ? … The most incompetent service ever award šŸ˜‚

My family loves food (who doesn’t ?) the food here is amazing. The freshest ingredients. Perfect seasonings. Coming from the Caribbean it’s been difficult to find truly authentic ingredients in a perfect blend. It’s all here. ?

The staff were very kind and hardworking. The waitress but super busy with a full restaurant and the whole team pulled together to help her, even the hostess! Being a GM of a QSR Restaurant it really makes me feel great that their management is teaching these wonderful habits. They are a team and didn’t let the waitress struggle. The food came out quick, and fresh. Loved the Breakfast Sandwich on an English Muffin. The breakfast potatoes were big and delicious. My wife got the Eggs Benedict and she ate every bite. Thank you for what you do, the friendliness and cleanliness of your restaurant.

Stayed at the hotel for a conference. Hopped up to the bar for a snack upon arrival: the Caesar salad. It was massive and absolutely delicious!!! The next morning, we had breakfast here. I had the scram-bowl and my husband a steak. I’d of licked my plate clean if I could have - but the portions were oh so generous. Went down for the exact same breakfast the following day. They also supplied buffet lunches and happy hour appetizers for attendees. Super friendly staff and great restaurant. Now I’m craving another salad.

My wife and I were very impressed with the flavors, portions and atmosphere at this place we only stumbled into after Googling for a new place to try some poke… and oddly, the poke itself wasn’t even the item we loved most.

We started with the Jerk Pork Belly Nachos which was fresh, hot and loaded with flavor. We’re goat cheese lovers so the ā€œwhipped goat cheeseā€ jumped off the menu at us and we think we made the right choice. We had to stop ourselves halfway full of we wouldn’t have room to even try our entrees.

For entrees we had their unusual take on PokĆ© - lots of grilled veggies and pineapple - and the ā€œ& Gritsā€ with blackened shrimp, which was probably the standout dish of the night… Although the dessert kind of blew our minds too - coconut pineapple cheesecake ?

The menu here is relatively small, yet offers a lot of variety. That’s a gamble for restaurants that can’t decide what cuisine they specialize in, but these guys make it work. We were genuinely, thoroughly impressed.

Not the most affordable meal, but also that expensive - priced right for what you get, in our opinion. And again, the portions are great - we had a full meal with our leftovers of all of the dishes mentioned above.

We both agreed on the way home that this is a must-go place when we have company come from out of state.

Santiago's stole my heart (and taste buds)! The pork belly nachos were TO DIE FOR - crispy, flavorful, and utterly addictive! The atmosphere was adorable and cozy, and the staff? Super attentive and friendly! Can't wait to come back!

Came in on a Saturday evening after we checked into the hotel. There was a guy playing solo acoustic. The restaurant was busy. Vibe was fun. Our server was attentive and on point. I got the tortellini with added mahi. Having to stop myself from getting it again tonight. My girlfriend got the NY Strip. It was 5 stars as well.

I’d come eat here even if I wasn’t staying at this resort.

Cajun fried chicken is the best chicken I’ve ever tasted! It’s def not traditional fried chicken, it’s not breaded but I will put it up against any chicken ever cooked!!!
