From the moment we made the reservation until the moment we walked out the door, overflowing with gratitude for the outstanding service and meal, Alta Marea became our cherished family experience. 11 senior citizens, all family, with decades of travel around the world and a very discerning palate have unanimously decided that this meal, this experience , was by far one of the most incredible family dining we have ever had. We allowed Ryan to make many decisions for us, we tried new tings and savored every bite! Italian wine to die for, THE BREAD.....extraordinary ! Home made pasta, rigatoni, linguine, scallops, octopus, lasagna...and then the specials, Oh my Goodness! And then don't forget desert, the tiramisu and chocolate mousse. We ate it all and loved it all. I can't suggest one thing because it was all prepared and presented to perfection. My Wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Alta Marea Wednesday January 8th. There was no wait for our reservation, we were seated promptly and greeted by our waiter "Jay" who was pleasant and attentive throughout our meal. I had a very tasty pasta dish with shrimp and and my wife had the lamb which was prepared exactly to her liking. The wine recommendation by the manager was perfect and we complimented her on the atmosphere and decor. Alta Marea will be a "must do" on all of trips to St. Augustine.

Prepare to be treated like royalty by warm, cordial and highly professional servers who will overwhelm you with the unique plates that have continued to amaze me after a dozen visits. In a city bursting with exceptional restaurants, Alta Marea holds a position of respect amongst the best.

MAKE S RESERVATION!! They do not take walk ins for a reason during the busy season. this restaurant and its staff are 5 star. Spotless restaurant very professional staff the quality of the food is amazing oh and the signature drinks….delicious thank you Stacy.
