Went for dinner last night and the restaurant was almost empty. We ordered the burger and the four-cheese mac & cheese with chicken. The burger was okay, but the mac & cheese was watery, bland, and overall pretty disappointing — nothing like the picture shown on the menu. Service wasn’t great either; after our food arrived, we never saw our server again. We had to track someone down just to get the check. Most of the staff seemed to be sitting together at a table chatting. Pretty sad service considering how slow the restaurant was. Unfortunately, I doubt we’ll be going back.

I recently dined at Applebee’s and had one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had. When we arrived, there was no hostess and no staff in sight. We were the only ones waiting, and the restaurant did not appear busy—there were only a couple of families, a half-full bar, and one large party. After waiting 10 minutes, we were finally seated, which should have been our first warning sign.
It took a long time before our server, Julianna, came to our table. She took our order, and then we waited over an hour for our food. During that time, she checked on us only once and never apologized for the delay. We had ordered an appetizer, so I asked about it, and she casually mentioned the cook had just made a large batch of mozzarella sticks and ours would be out soon. She didn’t take our menus, never refilled our drinks, and I eventually had to go find silverware myself because she was nowhere to be found.
All of our food came out at once—appetizer and entrées together—which defeats the purpose of ordering an appetizer. My son’s pasta looked like it had been sitting out; it was cold and the sauce had thickened and dried out on top. Most of our food was lukewarm at best. To make things worse, my son’s side was missing. Instead of fries, she told us “they just gave you more mozzarella sticks” as if that counted as his side. We also received no marinara sauce, and after asking twice, we finally got some—but by then the mozzarella sticks were cold.
We are not people who complain easily, but after waiting over an hour and watching mistake after mistake, I would’ve at least expected a comp for the appetizer or an apology. We received neither. Our drinks were never refilled during the nearly two hours we were there. When the bill finally came, we were even charged for the fries my son was supposed to get with his meal, so we had to wait another 10–15 minutes for that to be corrected.
I understand being short-staffed or busy, but the issue was not just the kitchen—it was a complete lack of attentiveness and care. No napkins, no silverware, no menu removal, no drink refills, no apologies, missing sauce, cold food, and multiple errors on our bill. Julianna did not seem concerned at all about how poor our experience was.
The food itself was standard Applebee’s food, but it would have been much better if it hadn’t been lukewarm and clearly sitting for a while. This was by far the worst service I’ve ever experienced at any restaurant.

We found this Applee's to be the most dirty restaurant we've ever been in. The floors looked like they have never been cleaned. I was surprised to see how much spilled soda and food there was all over the floor, every where. There were no clean tables and the ones that were had food under them. We were told our table was just cleaned but had sticky stuff on it and food under. The waiter was very friendly and fast with service. We ordered the molten chocolate cake, which was amazing! We were just visiting for dessert. I would never return to this Applebee's again.

The service SUCKED ! Our waitress could never really be seen on the floor , When we asked for napkins, she only brought a few (maybe like 4) knowing it was 2 Mom’s at the table with two babies eating on top of that with no silverware , The food was so greasy it just ruined the vibe I have been up all night throwing up. This place has gone downhill. Chili’s is where it’s at.

my husband is in the service so we went to applebees on veterans day since that is our favorite place to go eat. our lovely server sara took care of us phenomenally despite the chaos and we overheard some frustrated customers who weren't even veterans complain about the wait times (I guess they forgot to check their calenders) and she handled it gracefully and with a smile. thank you applebees for honoring veterans and thank you sara for being an amazing server!!
