Food was very disappointing. Crab cakes terrible, imitation. The TomaHawk steak was a happy meal version of a steak not even 2 oz. For $70. The lobster bisque was cold. The waitress Lisa was nice.

We made a reservation on open table to go after church. When we arrived 5 minutes prior to our reservation time we were told the kitchen was closed. Don’t trust the reservations offered because we went during a busy season and made reservations two weeks ahead of time we still couldn’t sit
I look forward to every holiday for an opportunity to go to Aviles for their holiday buffet. As with all of the other holidays, Thanksgiving was fantastic. There are three main courses and many of side dishes to go with them. All there was turkey and smoked ham and best of all prime rib. I love this place. I love the atmosphere. And with a new bar and bartender, I found the mixed drinks to be Unique and delicious. I will always be back!

Aviles is one of my favorite spots in Saint Augustine. It’s intimate and cozy. Ana is the BEST server there is but all of the staff are super attentive and kind. The space always feels clean and the food is the real star. You can tell the chefs puts love into the food and the passion is there. The seafood is always fresh and flavorful and DO NoT Skip On desserts. All options are top notch. They recently hired a talented new bartender so sitting at the bar is a whole new experience. He studied molecular gastronomy! The hotel was recently renovated and looks absolute stunning. This is really a such a hidden gem. Thanksgiving buffets are incredible too. The crab stuffed flounder is my absolute favorite and the Prime Rib melted in my mouth !!!

Love this restaurant every time I go I have a wonderful experience. There were four of us. The service was great, very attentive. This Thanksgiving buffet was great, a lot to choose from. I myself had the prime rib. It was delicious. I also had the crab stuffed flounder. The desserts were delicious also. They do a great buffet on the holidays. I would recommend this restaurant.

We had Thanksgiving buffet. We really appreciate all the wait staff working on Thanksgiving night. But the whole experience was kind of disappointing. First of all the food was terrible, you pay $95/person for something like college cafeteria food. also there 25% service charge added which is way too expensive for what they offered. Also, the reservation was kind of unorganized, and took too long to seat people down.

Worst Thanksgiving dinner my family has ever had. Place was disorganized and they lined us up like cattle waiting for dinner. Turkey and Prime rib could be better at Goldan Corral and it was overpriced and they had the audacity to charge 25% service charge

Had dinner there Saturday (11/29) evening. Food was extremely underwhelming. Nothing “fine dining” about it. And considering we were the right at opening, no reason (when you use an e-menu) that an item listed on the menu was already unavailable, as were we’re only the 2nd table seated. Mediocre food at best.
We booked a table for 2 at 6:00 for our anniversary dinner. We were sat at a high top in the bar which was annoying. Server took our order, didn't acknowledge our anniversary & 45 minutes later we had only been served a plate of bread. We were told 2 minutes by one person & another server told us 7 minutes. We left. So disappointed with this experience.

We did not realize the hotel and restaurant were under a major restoration...but decided to try the restaurant for the first time anyway.
While the ambiance was rather limited our experience was outstanding. First and foremost our waiter, MIKE, was awesome. His wine suggestion was perfect, the description of menu choices was very helpful and he took the time to ask our preferences in helping us choose entrees. The food was excellent! The small conference room doubling as the dining area was so intimate that we chatted freely with other patrons which added to the overall wonderful evening.

My wife and I celebrated our 26th anniversary last night at the restaurant. We had not been to Aviles for quite some time, but it was even better than we remembered. Mike, our server and bartender gave wonderful service and interacted with us in such a way as to make a great evening even better. The food was absolutely fantastic. My wife had a prime beef Tomahawk and I had llamb that we’re both absolutely out of this world. Kudos and thanks to Mike and the entire staff for a terrific job.

We had a great dinner! Our bartender/server was Mike we ate at the bar. Our service & food were excellent. We decided to eat here last minute after a Sunset cruise. We had the duck appetizer and the short ribs for the main course. Everything was delicious and the sangria is the best. Thank you to Mike for recommending the duck it was so good. I highly recommend this place.
