Bar Harbor Cheesecake Company

Today we decided to celebrate Derrious’ birthday in St Augustine. We toured a beautiful wedding venue, walked around the local downtown & had dinner on the strip. As we decided to wind down our night we went to check out Bar Harbor Cheesecake Company. This was approximately 6:20. We chatted with the lady at the register about various kinds of cheese cake & what there cheese cake tasting looked like. We decided to register with her at the counter. As we’re paying she makes a comment about how she DOESNT need to read off the house rules because we “LOOK” like we fit the criteria. We paid & we’re told to come back at the time of our reservation at 7pm. Once we came back we were seated inside & asked what kind of drinks we would like. As we’re picking out the tea the server comes back & lets us know they cannot serve us because we are not following the criteria??? Mind you the lady said she didn’t need to show us the rules because we LOOKED like we fit. We were puzzled by this request to leave so we ask what was the reason. They told us they could smell a tobacco odor & that was against the criteria yet again THEY DIDNT SHOW US. So we get up from the table & walk back outside to the lady that registered us & asked why we’re weren’t made aware of the rules that were soooo important to the establishment & AGAIN her exact words were “you looked like you fit the criteria” MA’AM! That is discrimination & racial profiling you CANNNNNOT judge someone based off of there looks. If the rules are the rules EVERERYONE SHOULD SEE THEM! Bar Harbor Cheesecake Company SHAME ON YOU. You need to do better as an establishment! If you’re of color stay away they will racial profile you!!!!

Such an unique experience! Discovered this place while passing by and decided to go inside to try some of their cheesecakes. Turns out they have a huge variety of flavors, both sweet and savory, and it’s so hard to choose cause they all seem so interesting. You can pick 3 flavors and try them - it’s what they call a “flight”. I went for the spinach artichoke, lobster and the blooming onion - all amazing! As for the sweets, I choose german chocolate cake, key lime and dark cherry chocolate. The only one I wouldn’t super recommend is the key lime one, it was not as good as the others, but it’s traditional from FL so I had to give it a try! Plus, the atmosphere is also very interesting, the place is well decorated and I loved it.

Where are our love hearts that we put onto the arbor in the front garden? Yes I know it's the owners right to remove them but I have a issue with this when you are CHARGED money to purchase said love locket to hang under the love tree....paid money for the right to hang a personal memory and now it's gone... do I get my money back and the HINDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS of other people that paid $10 or more per locket

If I could give no starts I definitely would.
Had reservations for 8 people for 530 that we paid 9.00 per head for. We got there at 514 was told our reservations were for 5pm and canceled at 515. Refused to give money back we had to spend it on cheesecake to go. There
was NO ONE in the restaurant. Lady at the door was very nasty and rude. Customer service skills were definitely lacking. Will never return or suggest this place.

We were on the porch at 5:14, they claimed we were here at 5:15 so therefore we were 15 minutes late and they would no longer seat us although they were running behind. We never received a notification saying they were running late or letting us know that we would not be seated, although they said we should have. To them, it was not their problem. Our bachelorette party had to find elsewhere to eat, they were extremely rude and let us know we would not receive refunds. There was no one seated in the restaurant as well. I would not give this place my time or a single dime, we put our reservation money towards the cheesecakes since we wouldn’t receive refunds and they were small anyways. Do not recommend.

Passed by for an after dinner dessert and was greeted so kindly. Although it was past the time to sit in and dine I took a Triple chocolate chunk cheesecake to go and it was delicious.

The wine is delicious, the cheesecake is the most amazing thing we have ever tasted. Never has there been a more unique experience than the beef brisket cheesecake. We thought surely this was going to be a short visit, but two hours later we were raving about the coconut cream, lemon chiffon and beef brisket cheesecake - yes I said cheesecake!!! Make a reservation today and have the amazing server Allegra treat you like royalty. Take home some cheesecake or some truffles- not one thing will disappoint.

The best hidden food experience the area has to offer. If you haven’t made a reservation here you have no idea how much you are missing out on. From the savory delectable of beef brisket and bacon jalapeño to the sweet maple bourbon, coconut cream and peanut butter fudge everything is amazing! The unique experience here is not soon to be forgotten on our adventure to St Augustine. Neither is the lemon chiffon or the chocolate espresso brûlée.

I’m a regular client and this year celebrating my anniversary wanted to enjoy a desert with my husband. Unfortunately we arrived to find being blocked and told we needed a reservation, would have to pay $9 per person to even make a reservation and the hostess was not very friendly. We bought our cheesecake to go and were still disappointed with the texture and flavoring.

So, the person who is your hostess/waitress is very kind. The problem I see is this establishment is trying WAY too hard to be “fancy” but falls flat, especially with the charcuterie board. I read another review where the person stated it was lunch meat and cheeses. This seems to be true. There was turkey lunch meat, roast beef lunch meat and salami lunch meat. The cheeses were just lunch cheese sliced in to triangles. Then all of the other ingredients looks like a Publix experience. It wasn’t BAD, it just wasn’t impressive. We are still on the hunt for a good charcuterie experience. The cheesecake tastings were yummy and sangria was delectable. The salad was good but, again, aside from the dressing that was very tasty, it was a Publix salad. It was very over priced for what was served to us. Not trying to be mean, just honest.

We love this gem and visit every time we are in the area. Seasonal cheesecake is fun too! Always spending different to choose from. Every staff member makes you feel special here. Can’t say enough about this place. Pay the reservation fee, get flights of cheesecake and wine. Bring your friends and enjoy this lovely tasty find. Prices are fair and taste is delightful.

Really great food. I recommend a sweet and savory flight of cheesecake bites. Probably best to call ahead for seating.
