I was on a walk on Thursday and stopped by as a young man named Pier (spelling is probably wrong, sorry) asked if I wanted a sample. I could see in that moment something troubled him. I won't go into that publicly but we had a talk and he just needed someone to listen and feel in that moment with him. Historic St. Augustine is made for walking—including lots of cute places to rest for snacks and to hydrate on hot summer days. Ben's Soft Pretzels was the perfect afternoon rest spot.
Used to love this place. Then the quality started to become inconsistent. On top of that they started charging $2 for a little cup of beer cheese and $1 for the others that all used to be free with a purchase.
Ok. Maybe start at $.50 and work your way up if it's a cost issue. Just seemed like a sudden and greedy move.
