loved the outdoor dining! got the teriyaki chicken poke bowl and powerhouse açaí bowl. both were absolutely great. I have noticed sometimes “healthier” food has no seasoning in it but Big Island Bowls is a prime example that healthier foods can be really tasty. we will definitely be back! great food for a nice day outside, on the go to the beach, or simply to go! also have great options for other food feet away so the whole family can dine different cuisines!Vegetarian options: can make any of the poke bowls vegetarian! they can substitute with a whole avocado!

Must stop during my vacation it became a must have in that Florida heat. Is in a corner with other food trailer unfortunately the only one open was this one but that is all I need it. It is like a patio style with tables and chairs under trees super cute.

In St Augustine for an overnight visit and found this small group of Food Trucks within walking distance of our stay. Very good service and food. Even some Alcoholic drinks at one of them. All outside seating but the weather was good and appeared to be limited parking.

Good food, exactly what I was looking for- service was fine, ambiance was beachy but wish there was an indoor A/C because we were overheated!

I've been coming to Big Island Bowls for years and always get the same bowl to go. I don't know if they changed the recipe or were rushed because of the holiday, but I couldn't even finish my bowl and had to throw it away. Rice is too dry and bang bang sauce was overwhelmingy spicy. I got same bowl last month and it was great. I don't think I will be back. Smoothies are great tho.

Wish I had seen the reviews for this place sooner. I got the A Frame Spicy Tuna for $15 plus $4 tip. Got more portions of avocado than tuna and it’s more sweet than spicy. I asked for hot spicy sauce and the only kind they had was the sweet “hot” sauce. Small bowl small portions big price. The Little Sombrero across from them or the Philippino Colorado food truck might be a better choice in this quaint food truck village in St. Augustine. For vegetarians and vegans, Big Island Bowls would probably be your best option.

Look forward to a poke bowl with tuna in it and get home and there is no poke just big chunky cucumbers and tons of peppers. Horrible bowl if your thinking of going here you should reconsider it. I guess that’s the kind of quality you get from a food truck ran by college kids. First time was like 5 pieces of poke this go round was none so needless to say they’ve lost me and my friends will be going somewhere else considering there is multiple other options around the same area.

I love a good food truck and this one didn't disappoint. Had an ahi bowl with mango and a killer sauce. Nice bit of heat with a sweetness that balance everything together. The girls were smiling and seemed to enjoy what they do. Even got a cool little area to kick back and play some corn hole. The music choice was odd though. I'd suggest a more island vibe rather than oldies or obscure songs( probably not big island bowls decision)

Hidden gem! We went on the hunt to find a healthy light option for brunch and found this place. I eat acai bowls all the time in California but this place had a huge variety and was very affordable (probably our least expensive but best tasting breakfast on our trip!). Planning to come back for a poke bowl later. Great food truck vibe in a permanent spot with tons of seating and easy parking.
