This was our first tine coming to BlackFly on a recomendation from friends. It did not disappoint. The food was prepared perfectly to order. The service was attentive and we are really looking forward to coming back again.
The best dinner we had in St. Augustine, hands-down. I had the conch fritters followed by the flounder special (flounder fillet, rice, broccolini). My wife had the crispy sprouts, followed by the andouille with potatoes. Literally no complaints. It was all good to great. And, an important note for St. Augustine, they have their own good-sized parking lot.
I have driven by this restaurant for years and no one had ever recommended it to us. it is on the main drag of A1A just before the St. Augustine Lion's bridge and it never occurred to try the restaurant till last week. This restaurant specializes in seafood and we had the flounder special and swordfish special. I did no realize that BlackFly specializes in fresh seafood and it turned out to be one of the better seafood restaurants we have experienced in FL and we have gone to a lot of them. The also serve a large menu of other items including specialty pizzas that we will eventually try out as well.
Came to Blackfly for my birthday dinner. Everything was superb! Excellent service, food (Red snapper and trigger fish were spectacular) and the Dubai chocolate tart was lovely. After leaving we were phoned to say we hadn't paid the bill! (I thought hubby had paid and he thought I had) We were so embarrassed and rushed back. They were gracious and understood our mistake! Blackfly really is a wonderful treasure in dining on the island!
Everything was fabulous. I wish we could remember the name of our server she was amazing, a smile that didn't fade for 90 minutes. The restaurant was full to capacity without an extended wait time.
Please have your servers write their name on the receipt.

Had some sort of late snacks at this place last night for Christmas Eve since lots of places was not open so I’m happy enough to have small bites and me and my husband were checking this place out. We sat by the bar, Erin.w was the one that took our order, she was sweet and friendly.
We got fish katsu and margherita oven brick pizza. The pizza was not bad. The fish katsu was also pretty good, for myself I just didn’t really like their sweet chili sauce.
We got the zucchini pasta (gluten free) and the calamari. The portions were huge! Loved it. We went for dinner and wanted to go again for lunch before leaving the next day. We sat at the bar because it was packed, but the bartenders were friendly and funny. They have an insane amount and variety of liquor. They have anything you can think of and stuff youve never heard of. There is a wood stove for the pizzas and it was cool to watch. The pizzas looked amazing. We watched Monday night football.

Anna was an awesome servicer! Also the food - incredible! My table decided to split 2 apps and 5 entrees and we couldn’t pick a favorite because everything was so good. Run don’t walk here.

Quite awful. Not even sure where to begin. The bread ( special $8 charge) is stale and lacks flavor, oil that comes with it isn’t olive but vegetable oil. French onion soup comes with a piece of bread freely floating on the surface and without cheese ( that’s the way they serve it, was the explanation). One dish was labeled as Lobster Mac and Cheese, perhaps in jest, I was not ready to find out. I wouldn’t trust any fish here. In fact no one, from what I saw, ordered fish —people know. We ordered pizza , a safer bet.
The restaurant is a tourist trap, and not even very good at that. Avoid!

The food here is amazing. Best food I have tasted for many a day. The service was excellent and despite a slight hiccup in an order the matter was rectified immediately and without a fuss. Highly recommended. My opinion best food in at Augustine by a mile.

Totally disappointed for the price the food is not even close to the level it should be. Lifelong local decided to try the place and will not be back so many better restaurants to go to for far less money and far better quality yuck!!

Our pizza looked and tasted like a totinos. 6 overcooked medium sized chili lime shrimp for $15!!!!! Don't waste your time. The Playlist and the service were the only good things about this place!
