Blackfly The Restaurant

Enjoyed a great evening of drinks and dinner with our friends from out of town. Started with drinks at the bar and move to the dining room for our dinner. Drinks included some great martinis for my wife and I while our friends enjoyed a need and Jameson on the rocks- all nicely prepared and served up. The food was fantastic, with my friend enjoying a steak, the ladies having shrimp while I had salmon. The shrimp and salmon were prepared perfectly with tasty sauces and the steak cooked medium to my friend's liking. Everyone commented favorably on the great food and service! Well done Black Fly! We'll be back soon!

Ordered the Triggerfish & it was delicious - nice portion with a little sweetness & the sides were very good - don't forget dessert - we had key lime pie & creme brûlée - yummy 🤗🤗

Blackfly is the one place where I never order the same thing twice—everything on the menu sounds so incredible that I'm determined to try it all! The service is warm, friendly, and on point every time, and the nitro Espresso Martini alone is worth making the trip. The specials always bring something fresh and unexpected, and they never disappoint. Whether you're a foodie, a cocktail lover, or just hungry for something delicious, Blackfly truly has something for everyone!

We are regulars. This time was exceptional. The scallions on the artichoke dip made a difference. The flounder was cooked perfectly. My angle hair pasta was on the mushy side, but the flavor was very good. Many wines choices quickly exceeded $100, but we found a great petite sirah for $81. Several large parties made the room very loud with kids at one large party using outside voices. It was quite the sweep-up on aisle 1 after they left. Things settled down after they left, and the remainder of the dinner was great.

We specifically asked that our two orders of the halibut Piccata prep not be overcooked. Both portions were done to perfection for us. The cook honored our request and delivered two delicious meals. Our dinners were complemented be polite, attentive service. Thank you.

Food was tasty, I had the fresh catch (Redfish) prepared in the daily special preparation. My wife had the pizza. The food was tasty. We also ordered the Blackfly Old Fashioned and the Blackfly Margarita. Neither met our expectations but sometimes that's the way craft cocktails go. The decor/ambiance of the restaurant needs some updating. We were expecting a more elevated experience and were surprised by the laid back beach vibe. Nothing wrong with it, just not what we were looking for.

This was the best food we have come across in a long time we had the lobster eggrolls we did the crab pasta and we did the sausage pizza and added goat cheese to it, and it was absolutely incredible. Literally amazing. Our server alley was amazing. you must see her. She's adorable and she is an incredible server. We will be coming back next time we visit.

Yum! Dinner was delicious. Mason is an amazing server! Ask for him...and follow his recommendations.

Excellent food and service. Colette was a wonderful server. We had a great dinner. Definitely looking forward to coming back.

I come to St. Augustine once a year and this was my first visit. I ordered the steak and shrimp fried rice, and it was great. My wife's snapper was just a little over cooked for what we like, but seasoned and flavored nicely. I would recommend Blackfly and we would come back.

As is always the case, the food was spot on, the drinks were excellent (Negroni for me, Cosmo for my wife), and the service impeccable. Special shout out to our server, Allison, for a job well done. This restaurant has consistently pleased us for the last several years.

Food is outstanding and service is great. Just way too loud. Probably okay for the younger crowd but way too loud for me.
